💡 "Rejection isn't just part of the job—it's part of the training." 💡 Throwing it back to Episode 19 of Beyond The Profile Podcast Profile, when I sat down with 👨🍳 Elric Legloire Legloire, one of the topics we tackled was one every SDR faces: rejection. His take? It's not about just saying "smile and dial." Instead, rejection needs to be taught—before it even happens. 🎯 Discuss it early. 🎯 Equip your team with responses for all types of rejection. 🎯 Build habits to reset after tough calls (yes, even taking your dog for a quick walk counts!). Rejection isn't easy, but with the right tools and mindset, it can be managed. #Sales #SDR #Podcast #ColdCalling #SalesLeadership

What if the key to sales success isn’t how well you talk but how well you listen? The One Skill That Separates Great Salespeople From Good Ones 👂✨ In episode 23 of Beyond The Profile Podcast with guest Hilton Burke, a seasoned recruiter and headhunter who’s helped over 250 companies build their sales teams, we uncovered an often-overlooked truth about what makes top salespeople stand out. Spoiler alert: It’s not their pitch, demo skills, or product knowledge—it’s their listening ability. Here are Hilton’s insights: 👉 Two Ears, One Mouth: Great salespeople listen more than they speak. By genuinely absorbing what a prospect says, they can tailor solutions to meet their specific needs. 👉 Ask the Right Questions: Success lies in the questions you ask—not just any questions, but thoughtful ones that demonstrate understanding and curiosity. For example: Why does the prospect need this product? What challenges are they facing? 👉 Customer-Centric Conversations: Rookie salespeople often dive straight into demos, rattling off features. Great salespeople, on the other hand, start by exploring customer pain points and aligning solutions with their goals. 💡 Hilton’s golden rule: “You buy from a person, not from numbers.” Charisma might get you in the door, but listening and meaningful conversations close the deal. This is a back-to-basics moment for sales teams. As Hilton said, the “golden era of SaaS” pushed sales into demo-first approaches, but the pendulum is swinging back to relationship-driven selling. TL;DR: If you’re in sales, remember: Talk less, listen more. Ask better questions. The value you deliver starts with understanding the customer. #Sales #Outbound #Podcast #SDR

Insights with strategic advice for your 2025 goals! Graeme 👨🏼💻 Gilovitz 🎗️ shares this empowering approach: Shift your mindset from being an employee to running your own business. When you think like a business owner, you have more skin in the game. You’re driven to analyze, optimize, and refine every part of your work to achieve the best return on investment — and that investment is you. As an employee, you may think, “They’ll help me” or “They’ll take care of it.” But as a franchisee, entrepreneur, or sales professional, your motivation comes from results. Ask yourself: How do I achieve my goals more effectively? Should I send more emails or improve their quality? The key is to take ownership. Constantly evaluate what’s working, refine your approach, and focus on growth. Success happens when you treat yourself like the business you own. 💡 Pro tip: Rethink yourself as a franchisee running your own business as opposed to being an employee

From Cold to Warm: Baptiste PAULET’s Strategy for Building Rapport with Prospects In my conversation on Beyond The Profile Podcast episode 18 with Baptiste, BDR Manager EMEA at MotorK, one topic stood out: his approach to warming up cold leads. It’s a challenge every sales professional faces, but Baptiste shared a perspective that was both refreshing and practical. “Warming up leads is all about connecting with the person. It doesn’t have to be complicated—find something relatable and show genuine care.” Here’s how Baptiste breaks it down: 1. Find a Connection Point Whether it’s a recent job change, a shared interest, or even acknowledging local events like storms or celebrations, Baptiste emphasizes the power of personal connection. “People appreciate when you’re human. Even something as simple as checking in after a storm can create a meaningful conversation.” 2. Use Events as a Bridge Baptiste suggests leveraging logical, non-salesy touchpoints to re-engage. For example, invite them to a webinar, share insights from an industry event, or mention a piece of content they might find valuable. These moments serve as a natural segue to discussing their challenges and goals. 3. Be Genuinely Curious The real key, according to Baptiste, is active listening. Ask questions, pay attention to their answers, and care about their responses. “When you listen more than you talk, the conversation flows naturally into a business discussion.” 4. Master the Transition A smooth transition from personal rapport to business value is where many SDRs stumble. Baptiste’s advice? Don’t force it. Let the conversation evolve naturally by showing you care about their success. This human-centric approach turns what many fear—cold outreach—into an opportunity to build trust and rapport. As Baptiste so aptly put it, “People don’t mind being sold to if they feel understood.” #SDR #SalesDev Powerlead #Sales #Outbound
