🏆 Celebrating Leadership: Jimmy Carter’s Impact on Trucking 🏆 President Jimmy Carter’s legacy extends beyond humanitarian efforts. His bold move to deregulate the trucking industry with the Motor Carrier Act of 1980 transformed the logistics landscape. By dismantling outdated systems, he opened the doors to competition, lowered freight costs, and paved the way for innovation. Carter’s reforms remind us of the power of thoughtful deregulation to drive progress. Today’s logistics industry, from independent contractors to global giants, owes much to his vision. 📖 Read the full story of how Carter reshaped transportation: https://ow.ly/Ier250Uy9HX Let’s honor the leaders who challenge the status quo and create lasting impact! 🚚💼 #Leadership #JimmyCarter #TruckingDeregulation #LogisticsInnovation

🚚 2024 in Review: 2025 in Focus 🛠️ As January reminds us to look back and ahead, here’s a snapshot of trucking industry developments: In 2024: California’s Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) push gained EPA approvals despite hurdles. FMCSA improved safety measures (e.g., crash prevention programs, safety ratings) and addressed broker practices. Supply chains faced weather and labor disruptions. In 2025: Expect action on “hot button” FMCSA issues like speed limiters and emergency braking. With a new administration in D.C., deregulatory trends could affect California’s ZEV rules and border security. Stay prepared for the changes ahead! 📢 Important Update for Motor Carriers: FMCSA’s Crash Preventability Determination Program (CPDP) now includes 21 eligible crash types! This initiative helps carriers address non-preventable crashes in their compliance category ratings under FMCSA’s Safety Measurement System. 🚛 New eligible crash types include: CMV struck on the side by a motorist traveling in the same direction. CMV struck by a motorist entering from a driveway or parking lot. Crashes involving a motorist losing control of their vehicle. Any crash where video evidence clearly shows the sequence of events. Submitting a Request for Data Review (RDR) with evidence such as Police Accident Reports, photos, or videos could make a significant difference in your safety record. 📘 Learn more about CPDP and see detailed guidelines: 👉 https://ow.ly/szSe50Uvj26 #Logistics #SafetyManagement #Compliance #TransportationIndustry

🌟 Advanced Clean Fleets: Challenges, Delays & Nationwide Implications 🌟 California's transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) under the Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) rule awaits a pivotal decision by the EPA. Even as the state delays enforcement, the ripple effects extend far beyond California, with many states poised to adopt similar standards. Here’s what’s happening: High-priority fleets: Enforcement postponed for 90 days after EPA waiver approval. Drayage trucks: Diesel-powered vehicles registered post-2023 may soon be forced out. Truck dealers: Struggling under stringent ZEV sales targets, especially for Class 7 & 8 trucks. Litigation is heating up, with 19 states challenging CARB’s rules and new antitrust lawsuits emerging. 🚛 Is the trucking industry ready for this seismic shift? 📚 Read the full analysis: https://ow.ly/MiUS50UviLk #CleanEnergy #TruckingIndustry #ZEV
