The Future of Smith’s Ballpark! Salt Lake City is reimagining Smith’s Ballpark with three exciting options on the table: Preserve & Revive: Keep the stadium a year-round sports and community venue with space for soccer, farmer’s markets, festivals, and local shops. Arts & Culture Hub: Preserve the western front for performances and events, transforming the field into green space and natural walkways. Urban Nature Redesign: Rebuild the area with serene green spaces, bike paths, pocket parks, and daylighting the three creeks below 1300 South. Guided by community feedback, these plans aim to balance history, functionality, and innovation. Park City is balancing preservation and progress with a plan to enhance Main Street’s charm while boosting accessibility and vibrancy! Here’s what’s in store: Designs that honor Park City’s iconic architecture. A revamped Miner’s Park with rooftop dining, a playground, and performance space. Ideas like wider streets and “car-lite” designs make Main Street more pedestrian-friendly. Updates to Bob Wells Plaza will better link City Hall with Main Street’s heartbeat. Residents loved the focus on preserving Main Street’s character while creating a vibrant future. Final plans go to the City Council on Dec. 19!
