In November, students at Primrose schools across the nation participate in the annual Caring & Giving Food Drive. Throughout the year, they learn the value of generosity and giving without expectation, which helps them grow into kind, compassionate adults. During this annual event, students and families bring in canned goods, and older children, ages 3-5, do chores to earn money to buy food items to donate to local food banks and shelters. This helps them practice compassion and generosity while developing math, planning, and nutrition skills. In 2023, Primrose schools donated over 400,000 nonperishable food items to underserved children and families, and we are excited to see the impact that the Primrose community makes this year. Last week, over 40 School Leadership team members from Primrose schools nationwide gathered at our Support Center for an engaging and insightful Excellence in Leadership (EIL) Training! This three-day event provided School Leadership with professional development and networking opportunities. These experiences empower these leaders to inspire passion and excitement in their teachers, ensuring the highest quality care for Primrose children and families. The Primrose Training team covered essential topics such as our premier Primrose experience, health & safety, a guided exploration to Balanced Learning®, the CLASS framework for confident conversations and more. Our CEO, Jo Kirchner, also emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and striving to be better each day. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, our gracious Support Center team, and our incredible training team for making this event a success!

We’ve always believed that who children become is as important as what they know, and this story is the exact reason why. When 1-year-old Primrose student Maverick developed a brain tumor, his family didn’t have to go through it alone. Students at Primrose School of Nolensville rallied around their classmate and raised $7K to support his recovery! We’re so proud of these students and of this school. Throughout the year, every Primrose school provides teachers, children and their families with meaningful opportunities to make a difference in their communities through fundraising events, donation drives and more. We call it the Primrose PromiseSM, and it’s an important part of raising the next generation to be compassionate and generous.
