This isn’t just a headline – it’s proof that our efforts are working. Programs like the Small, Minority, and Women-Owned Business Account are making a real difference by supporting hundreds of businesses, retaining thousands of jobs, and creating hundreds of new ones. This progress is part of our larger effort to close the racial wealth gap. We’re breaking down barriers to make state contracts fair and accessible. By streamlining the certification process and cutting red tape, we’re opening doors for everyone. And it’s paying off: In just one year, we delivered $1.4 billion in state contracts to minority-owned businesses – $160 million more than the year before we took office. We’ve also improved access to banking for small businesses, helped entrepreneurs secure the capital they need, and implemented new safeguards and accountability measures. Maryland is setting the standard for the rest of the country. Let’s keep building on this success together.

Can a proposal evaluator tell the difference between a generic, AI-generated response and one that’s been carefully crafted by a team of experts who’ve taken the time to truly understand their pain points and needs? I know I can tell the difference. In my experience, there’s a noticeable difference. The most compelling proposals aren’t just written—they’re solutioned. They come to life in brainstorming sessions, where sharp minds gather around the table, dissecting technical challenges and building tailored solutions that align with the client’s mission. Proposal writing is an art—and one they don’t teach in school. For those of us in the government contracting space, it’s a skill learned the hard way:  through long nights, trial and error, and the grind of getting it right. During my time at  large government contracting firms, I learned how to:  Translate technical solutions into narratives that resonate with government evaluators.  Price competitively while protecting profitability.  Ensure compliance while articulating value propositions Now, as I work with  small businesses and new #GovCon entrepreneurs, I see mastering this art is essential - not just for winning, but to create solutions that truly serve. What key lessons have you learned about proposal writing? Have you seen the difference between a proposal built on tailored solutions versus one that’s just checking boxes? Let’s share insights and elevate the art of proposal writing together! #GovCom #ProposalWriting #Leadership
