If you see Adam Powell cruising around in a 1968 Chevrolet C10 pickup, it might be worth the time to honk at him and get the story behind the truck! Adam has been restoring and building cars for nearly 30 years - in high school, he worked for a motion picture car builder. He continued this hobby into adulthood and has built a car (or truck) every few years. This new (to him) pickup is awaiting the final exterior paint-- a flat dark blue that matches the Dodgers batting helmets. His goal is to have something fun to drive around his home island of O'ahu and work on with his kids as they grow up. Adam says that building up a car is similar to software development. “It’s all about solving problems and figuring things out. You can buy lots of parts (depending on the vehicle), but it’s all about how you put them together and the uniqueness that comes through how you find solutions. We have been privy to Tyler Cutforth's passion for being a musician, and he's too talented to keep it a secret. He has been playing the guitar for nearly 20 years. He picked it up at the age of 12 with group lessons and pursued learning about it from every angle. The guitar is a safe space for Tyler. It has served as a therapist, painter’s canvas, stress ball, and laboratory. He says he never thought guitar would be such a strong presence in his life, but it's what he leans on in moments of stress, anxiety, or getting out of a creative rut.
