Printerior produces 3D printer filament, small-scale 3D printed object, and large format prints using recycled plastic.

About us

We are focused on helping solve the world's plastic problem by using 3D printers and waste plastic to create sustainable products. Printerior is a circular solution for the 3D printing market. Sustainably-minded 3D printing hobbyists, universities, and businesses want a better way. Printerior creates filament from industrial plastic waste sources and consumer 3D printing waste collected through the Printerior Recycling Program. We then use this waste to create Printerior Filament, a 100% recycled content filament which can be reused to make new 3D prints, completing the cycle. Sustainably-minded artists, designers, and companies use the Printerior Print Farm to create recycled content products and prototypes on demand.

  • Think 3D printing can’t handle mass production? Think again. 👊 With our stereolithography (SLA) printers, we’re cranking out thousands of parts per machine every day—scalable, fast, and on-demand. No molds. No wasted inventory. Just pure efficiency. Mass manufacturing? Yeah, we 3D print that. 💥 #3DPrinting #ManufacturingInnovation #DigitalTransformation #AdditiveManufacturing #SupplyChainSolutions #SustainableManufacturing #TechForGood

  • PROOF: Not all employees *want* the holidays off🎄 Take our large-format 3D printing robots, for example!  🎁 Darth & Daenerys (yeah we named our robots) are working round the clock this season. We’ve been busy tackling exciting architectural projects 🏢 and gearing up to launch some incredible new product lines in the New Year. Christmas just came early at Printerior! We're thrilled to announce the arrival of our latest addition! This powerhouse will become the largest 3D printer we’ve ever created, taking our production capabilities to a whole new level with almost 40ft of build volume! With this new setup, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in large-format 3D printing and are ready to take on bigger, bolder projects than ever before. 2024 may be wrapping up, but we still have some big announcements coming before the end of the year… Did someone say major expansion? Stay tuned! Now we just need a name for our new robot friend—drop your ideas below!

  • Recently, we teamed up with Resto Tech to create these side scoops for a 1969 Mustang restomod. Using SLS and MJF 3D printing, we delivered end-use parts that are lighter, faster to produce, and fully customizable—with no expensive molds or setup costs. 3D printing allows for rapid iterations, endless customization, and parts that are ready to install immediately after production. Whether you’re working on a custom car build or large-scale automotive production, the future is here.

Bringing a 1969 Mustang Back to Life with 3D Printing I wanted to share a cool project we just wrapped up with our friends over at Resto Tech for a 1969 Mustang Fastback Restomod. We 3D printed these side scoops—and trust me, they’re not just for show. These are end-use, ready-for-install parts! We used SLS and MJF 3D printing tech, and each scoop got a different finish: - First up, we have the Raw MJF Print—straight off the printer. Nothing fancy, but perfect for Resto Tech customers to prime and paint to match their specific car. - Then we smoothed one out with vapor smoothing, which gives it a sleek, polished finish. - And for the final touch? Automotive paint, so it’s got that pro look you’d expect on a show-quality muscle car. What I love about this project is how far 3D printing has come—these parts go from the printer to the car, no molds, no wasted materials, and you can get as custom as you want with design and finish. Big shoutout to Resto Tech for letting us bring their vision to life. Stay tuned to see more parts we produced for this amazing restomod. Resto Tech will be making all their parts available to customers soon! If you’re thinking about how 3D printing can meet your automotive needs, we'd love to chat! 🚀

What About Post-Consumer Recycled Materials? At Printerior, we're constantly exploring new materials for 3D printing with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Over the years, we've printed with virtually every recycled and biocomposite material available. While post-industrial recycled materials have become the norm, we're now turning our attention to the holy grail of recycled materials: post-consumer recycled materials. 🔄 Post-Industrial vs. Post-Consumer Post-industrial plastic waste, collected from manufacturing processes, is easier to recycle. The waste is cleaner and the material data is well-known. This is why our rPLA and rPETG filaments, made from post-industrial waste, boast mechanical properties that rival or exceed those of virgin materials. On the other hand, post-consumer recycled materials—those single-use plastics thrown into the recycling bin—present a significant challenge due to contamination and material identification issues. Creating high-quality 3D printing materials from this waste has been tricky, to say the least. ✨ Introducing r-UltraMarathon: A Game Changer Our partners at Transmare CirQlair have cracked the code with a 100% recycled post-consumer PP plastic called r-UltraMarathon 3D. This sustainable material prints like a dream and is compounded with features such as: - 30% glass-filled - Flame retardant - UV stable - Antifungi/Antibacterial Plus, it looks amazing! Just check out this planter made with r-UltraMarathon 3D. It's the perfect large-format 3D printing material for indoor or outdoor uses—from furniture to functional boats! 🇺🇸 Now Available in the US Market We're thrilled to offer this groundbreaking material in the US as part of our standard print service and for sale as pellets. Ready to revolutionize your printing materials? Purchase small batches today at https://lnkd.in/g7srQBSg. For larger quantities or print requests, reach out to us for a quote. 🌍 Print Smart.
