Reimagine EMS Education
About us
Prodigy is different. It redefines the EMS online CE market by delivering on the long-anticipated promise of EMS online education that truly educates and inspires. Prodigy isn’t for everyone. It isn’t for those who simply want to check boxes. Instead, it’s for innovative and dynamic EMS organizations and individuals who want to stretch, improve, and make a real difference for the patients and communities they serve. It’s for people who care. Recognizing a considerable deficit in e-Learning targeting the pre-hospital setting, Pro EMS set out to create an in-house system for HIGH-QUALITY education, DELIVERY, and TRACKING. Seeing the value it could add to other EMS systems, Pro EMS decided to build a product for external use. After several internal iterations, Prodigy was launched in late 2016. Prodigy was created to guide the user easily through the recertification process, including state and deaprtment-specific training. EMS Training Officers are given full access to class records, eliminating surprises and ensuring full compliance with certification standards. The classes are created to engage the user through various mediums, including the use of real patient videos, actual patient care reports, and interactive polls.

Prodigy talks to Richard (Rick) Patrick, who is the director of the National Fire & EMS Directorate at the U.S. Fire Administration. Rob Lawrence and Rick discuss the importance of the USFA's EMS branch. Did you know that 67% of the weekly data entered by fire departments into the National Fire Incident Reporting System are regarding EMS and rescue responses? USFA has critical relationships with national associations, who can lobby from the outside while federal and government agencies can brief on the inside and hopefully, meet in the middle. Rick also highlights the programs on #EMS and #firefighter roadway safety and operations, Traffic Incident Management and Post Crash Care for patients. https://lnkd.in/gP5jivUx
