An internet, telecommunications, and computer consulting firm, bridging the broadband gaps that challenge organizations

About us

Founded in 1995, ProInfoNet is an independent IT consulting firm that works with companies to solve their broadband challenges. Today, we operate two business units—one focused on healthcare IT consulting and the other focused on providing broadband consulting to states, towns, and municipalities. These business units—which include the innovative startup, Mission Broadband—provide specialized, industry-specific advice tailored to each client’s unique needs. At our core, our IT consulting services are: 1. VENDOR-NEUTRAL: As an independent consultant, we are not tied to any particular vendor. This means that we can offer unbiased advice, free from vendor-affiliation. 2. CLIENT-CENTRIC: We always put our clients first. With us, you receive solutions that are tailored to your organization’s specific objectives and available resources. 3. MISSION-DRIVEN: We are committed to expanding internet access across the country. We work with clients to explore cost-effective solutions and grant funding opportunities that help make this possible. By prioritizing these values, we’ve helped more than 300 companies save over $200 million on their broadband solutions over the past 29 years. Interested in learning more? • Did you know rural counties with high broadband adoption see 213% higher business growth rates compared to less connected counties? In their recent article for Broadband Breakfast, “Closing the Digital Divide Can Power a Rural Resurgence,” Calum Cameron and Colby Hall highlight how broadband expansion fuels economic growth in rural areas. They cite a study from Harlan County, Kentucky, which found that “improved broadband internet connectivity could generate over $70 million in direct economic benefits for the county over the next 15 years.” Their article explains that when rural communities gain access to fast, reliable internet, they attract new residents, boost local businesses, and create more opportunities for existing residents. At ProInfoNet, we know how important broadband is for creating opportunities in rural communities. High-speed internet helps people access education, healthcare, professional resources, and more. That’s why our business units work to bring broadband to communities that need it most. • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁! We are excited to announce that Tennyson M. (accounting extraordinaire) has been promoted to the role of Senior Accounting Specialist. In just four short years, Tennyson has earned four well-deserved promotions – an impressive feat and clear testament to his hard work and expertise!  Tennyson joined us in 2020 as an Accounting Assistant, bringing a degree in Finance from the University of Maine and experience from the University of Virginia and Cross Insurance. At UVA, he guided students through the grant application process, managed expense approvals, and redesigned (and coded!) their new website homepage. At Cross Insurance, Tennyson honed his skills in accounts payable (overseeing more than 18 accounts!) before making the leap to ProInfoNet. Since joining our team, Tennyson has been instrumental in preparing and submitting Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF) forms, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts receivable. In his new role, he’ll be taking on more customer-facing responsibilities and representing the accounting team in client meetings—if you see him on a Zoom call, know that you’re in good hands! Outside of work, Tennyson enjoys watching TV, playing games, and hanging out with his two dogs, Maui and Zeus. 𝘍𝘶𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵: 𝘔𝘢𝘶𝘪 (𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵) 𝘪𝘴 18 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘭𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘡𝘦𝘶𝘴 (𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵) 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘧𝘶𝘭 3 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘭𝘥! • 🎃 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗡𝗲𝘁! 🎃 Halloween is almost here, and our team celebrated early with our first annual “𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵-𝗼𝗿-𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁” 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆! We carved up a slew of amazing pumpkins—from the immaculately carved "𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸-𝗼’-𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻" to the clever, prop-filled “𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽.” The creativity was off the charts! Of course, no pumpkin party is complete without a friendly competition. We challenged everyone to carve their best in three categories: • 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻  • 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘀  • 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 Take a look at the photos from the event below. Which pumpkin would you want on your doorstep this Halloween? Let us know in the comments—we’d love to hear your favorites! We had so much fun kicking off this new tradition and can’t wait to do it again next year. Wishing you all a safe and spooky Halloween!  #ProInfoNet #PumpkinCarving #TeamBonding #HalloweenFun #Halloween2024 #HappyHalloween

  • 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 Trevor Gordon, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗡𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗣 Trevor has been with ProInfoNet for 22 years, playing a key role in shaping our growth and success. His journey? A unique blend of creativity and business: Trevor began drumming at the age of 8 and studied music at UMaine Augusta’s Jazz and Contemporary Music program. After touring the east coast as a professional drummer, Trevor earned a B.S. in Business Administration and worked in management and operations at companies like MarMaxx, Pride Golf Tee, and Kmart.  In the early 2000s, Trevor met Jim Rogers and joined ProInfoNet as a Managing Consultant. Together, Jim and Trevor tackled key projects that were instrumental to the company’s growth, including the creation of our Healthcare IT business unit, which has since secured over $125 million in federal subsidies for our healthcare customers. As Senior Vice President, Trevor now oversees all back-office functions that keep the company running smoothly. Outside of work, Trevor channels his creativity into brewing beer for Gordon’s Grog, a local brewery that he and his family opened in 2021 after two decades of homebrewing. He still enjoys playing music (drums and guitar) and loves spending his free time with his wife, five children, and many grandchildren. We’re lucky to have you as part of the ProInfoNet family, Trevor!  𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗿? • Our team attended the SHLB Coalition's AnchorNets conference last week—it was an inspiring event! We appreciated the chance to sit in on insightful panels and connect with top thinkers in the broadband space. Jim Rogers, Trevor Gordon, Jeff Rogers, Taylor Whalen, Christopher Gelo, Matthew Chandler, and Amy Anderson, MSW, CAP represented our team, connecting with industry leaders and sharing our mission of expanding broadband access to underserved communities across the U.S. Special shout-out to Jim for delivering an impactful presentation on “After We Flipped the Switch” about how healthcare organizations' networking needs have become increasingly complex with the adoption of cybersecurity management and software-defined networks. This sparked meaningful conversations, and we're proud of the positive change our team is driving in this space. Stay tuned for more updates from AnchorNets, and drop a comment below if you attended—we’d love to hear your key takeaways! #SHLB #AnchorNets #2024AnchorNets #BroadbandForAll #ProInfoNet

  • We’ve got another exciting shout-out on the ProInfoNet team: congrats to Joseph C., one of our Network Operations Center (NOC) Technicians, for earning his Network+ certification last week! The NOC is the command center of the New England Telehealth Consortium network, operating 24/7 to monitor network performance and ensure that our service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Joseph's certification will enhance his skills in troubleshooting and optimizing our network, strengthening our ability to provide reliable service to our clients. The CompTIA Network+ certification is a major achievement and serves as the foundation for all future networking certifications. It covers a wide range of topics, from routing fundamentals and subnetting to security concepts. Joseph successfully completed a challenging 90-minute exam with 80 questions, including multiple-choice and performance-based simulations that tested his knowledge across essential networking fundamentals. This certification is a testament to Joseph’s hard work and his continued dedication to growing his expertise. He’s already planning to pursue his CompTIA Security+ and CCNA certifications within the next six months, further solidifying his path in networking and cybersecurity. We’re proud to have him on the team, and his success is a win for all of us at ProInfoNet! Congratulations again, Joseph! #EmployeeSpotlight #ProInfoNet #CompTIA #NetworkPlus #Networking #IT
