About us

Prologue functions as a collective of designers, filmmakers and artists. It is a body with many parts, each performing a unique function, and each supporting the whole. We encourage, challenge and sharpen one another in an effort to create work that is both communicative and inspirational. It is an approach toward design that has been tested and proven over the years, but we remain open to new ideas, methodologies and perspectives. We are proud of our accomplishments, but not content. We especially value our collaborative relationships with our client partners. We strive to support them creatively and help them tell their stories. We believe that when talented individuals work in concert with patience and passion great work is the result. Prologue provides clients with entertainment services, namely, the design and production of special effects including computer generated imagery and graphics for the production of motion pictures and television including visual effects, opening credit sequences, movie and show titles, videos, and trailers. In addition, Prologue provides entertainment media production and post production services for motion pictures, television, Internet, video games, short films and documentaries. Prologue produces feature films, short films and documentaries.

  • The Agency Designed @ Prologue We’re thrilled to share one of our latest projects with Paramount+ & Showtime. This main title sequence immerses viewers in the double life of a CIA operative navigating secrecy, deception, and international conflict. Through a layered, mirrored approach, the visuals embody the fragmented nature of espionage and the duality of hidden identities. The sequence spotlights the tools of espionage: burner phones, polygraphs, shredded files, and surveillance devices. Intercut with shots of London’s cityscape and conflict zones like the Ukraine-Russia border, the visuals ground the story in geopolitical reality. Typography inspired by London’s street signs adds a final nod to the setting and underscores the story’s thematic duality of public facade and hidden truth. We wanted to capture the essence of espionage—a world of fractured identities, international intrigue, and the constant push and pull between exposure and concealment. Managing Creative Director, Apple

In 2005, Kyle and Kimber Cooper invited me to relocate from London to Los Angeles for my dream job at their company, Prologue. At the time, Prologue was in its infancy—a small but exceptionally talented team landing opportunities alongside some of the most established companies in the industry. This marked the beginning of a journey that would shape the next decade of my life. My time there was nothing short of an intense apprenticeship, where I was encouraged to tirelessly fight for ideas, and never find myself idle. This final episode of Season 1 of Object Subject Form explores the magic that happens when art, love, and business collide. Kimber Cooper is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in design, film, and VFX, with recent ventures into e-commerce and XR. She has founded three companies: Prologue (where I spent the first decade of my design career), Prologue Immersive, and Spatialand (now called Insperience) acquired by Walmart in 2018 when she partnered with Marc Lore and Lori Flees to create the first retail virtual experience. Launching a business is daunting, but starting the journey with your life partner brings some unique challenges to the surface. It’s not just about navigating a business but also managing a marriage and family. Kim reflects on what it means to have a creative life partner and how to work closely with someone you love while navigating life’s inevitable challenges—balancing family, finances, employee retention, and maintaining a steady flow of work. This conversation celebrates the intersection of creativity, innovation, and partnership—offering insights for anyone navigating the balance of art, love, and business. If you’re considering starting a creative business with your significant other, this episode is for you. Key Takeaways: 🔍✨Your purpose doesn’t always reveal itself immediately—explore with obsessive curiosity and experiment to create the conditions for discovery. 🧺💡Diversify your opportunities—take control of your career, life, and income by not putting all your eggs in one basket. 🤝📈 Seek guidance and build meaningful networks—success often comes from connections and opportunities you actively pursue. 👩🎨💪 Claim your role as a creative partner—as a woman, mother, or creative, you can achieve equal (or greater) success alongside your partner. 🎨❤️ Fall in love with your craft—master something that truly brings you joy. -- Listen now on Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4feryv8 Listen Now on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gCEeKifr

  • Throughout October, we've been sharing our favorite horror projects from 1994-2024 on Instagram to get into the Halloween spirit. Today we're reminiscing about American Horror Story. In 2011, Ryan Murphy approached Kyle Cooper about making the very first title sequence for season one: Murder House. Since then Prologue created the title sequences for Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Cult, Apocalypse, 1984, Red Tide, Death Valley, NYC, and Delicate. If you have ever wanted to see all the American Horror Story title sequences in one place today is your lucky day! Kyle also unpacked each title sequence in an interview with Lana Thorn for Phantasmag.
