Our team is currently finishing a connector to AutoDesk Revit. This BIM tool is increasingly used by shipyards and plant manufacturers. Either to create an initial space allocation model or to plan e.g. public areas and hotel decks on cruise liners. The current implementation offers read access to the Revit data model, e.g. to export the contained elements or drawings. For shipbuilding purposes, we will transfer compartments to Revit rooms, or push hole demands from Revit as change request into a PLM system and from there into the design tool used for steel. In the screenshot, you see a first room created via our connector into a Revit model.
