Accepting Life on Life’s Terms Janet Paleo Recently, I was reflecting on the topic of our journaling class, and one theme stood out: accepting life on life’s terms. To me, this means accepting myself—who I am and who I am not. I accept the good, the bad, and the ugly within me. I accept my peace and my anger, my size, my body, my health, my shoe size, my hair color, and everything else about me that is visible or known. Acceptance doesn’t mean I have to like everything about myself. It means .... more at https://lnkd.in/gQ4ZZN-E
National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week reminds us that behind the statistics are real people, each with a story, struggles, and hopes. This week, we come together to raise awareness about the impact of food insecurity and homelessness, issues that affect millions in our communities every day. By highlighting these challenges, we inspire action toward creating a society where everyone has access to nutritious food, safe housing, and the support they need to thrive. Let’s take this opportunity to educate ourselves, volunteer, and advocate for policies that make lasting change. Together, we can build a future where no one has to face hunger or homelessness alone.

November is Homelessness Awareness Month, a time to spotlight the challenges faced by those without stable housing and the efforts needed to create lasting change. In 2023 alone over 650,000 people in US face housing insecurity or are unhoused, and the effects ripple through communities, impacting education, health, and opportunity. It's more than just a statistic—it’s a call to action. This month, I’m reflecting on how we can drive policy change, support local shelters, volunteer, and contribute to initiatives that aim to end the cycle of homelessness. I encourage everyone to take a moment this month to learn, engage, and support organizations that are making a difference. Let’s work together toward a future where everyone has a safe place to call home. If you have impactful stories, resources, or organizations to share, please comment below. Let’s amplify the conversation. #HomelessnessAwareness #CommunitySupport"
