HALT Gets Hyper! ProVention Health's HALT program now offers online hypertension management and control training. People of all ages — anywhere with a cell signal — can monitor and manage their blood pressure while learning to reduce it through HALT’s comprehensive curriculum focused on diet and exercise. This platform is fully integrated with smart blood pressure cuffs that automatically record readings, making tracking and management seamless. Recently, the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) adopted this new feature to expand access to hypertension support. By offering free hypertension programming, MDH addresses one of the leading risk factors for heart disease and stroke, advancing health equity and improving outcomes for Maryland residents. This initiative highlights MDH’s commitment to community health, collaborative partnerships, and equitable access to essential health resources. "The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is investing in the HALT Hypertension program to improve cardiovascular health and address disparities in underserved and rural communities across Maryland. HALT’s engaging platform enables MDH to provide convenient, accessible, evidence-based online programs to individuals who previously lacked access to such resources. MDH collaborates with local health departments, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community-based organizations, and other essential partners to maximize the HALT platform's reach and impact." - Ilene Cervantes del Toro, Diabetes Lead, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Maryland Department of Health If you’re interested in setting up a webinar or have any questions about our programs, don’t hesitate to contact our Director of Success, Kim Zientek for assistance. 🌐 Contact Kim at: kzientek@proventionhealth.org Please share for awareness and help create healthier communities! #ProventionHealth #HALT #DiseasePrevention #PublicHealth #ChronicDiseasePrevention #PublicHealth #ChronicDisease #EmployeeWellness #HALThypertension

Workplace Health Promotion Partner with ProVention Health to advance workplace health. Preventable chronic conditions are a major contributor to health insurance premiums and employee medical claims. These costs are at an all-time high and continue to rise in the United States. A healthier workforce can mean lower direct costs, such as insurance premiums and workers’ compensation claims, and lower indirect costs if workers miss less work because of illness. ✅ On average, Americans who work full-time spend more than one-third of their day, 5 days a week, at their workplace ✅ 4 IN 10 of the most costly health conditions are related to heart disease and stroke ✅ 36% of worksites have had workplace health programs for over 5 years. ✅ Work stress is the leading workplace health problem and a major occupational health risk, ranking above physical inactivity and obesity Source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention LINK: https://lnkd.in/d3zKHqKA #chronicdisease #obesity #diabetes #heartattack #highbloodpressure #ProventionHealth #CDC
