This is how public sector tech actually works... While Matt was on the road this week with the Air & Space Forces Association meeting with some of our customers, the Pryzm story was also made very clear: ➡ Because US-made products like #LoyalWingman Autonomous Aircraft are really, really cool (Image 1)... ➡ And the R&D budget to get them flying *next* year was appropriated at least 2 years ago (Image 2)... ➡ Having appropriations friends on #CapitolHill is a requirement for anything substantial (Image 3)... ➡ But engaging all the required stakeholders in the right way is why Pryzm really exists - because if you build, buy, or use technology for government missions like #NationalSecurity, your success depends on the ability to make sense of how this ecosystem behaves. ... and when the companies with the best technology - from fighter jets and nuclear reactors to cancer drugs and eco-friendly cement - can smoothly navigate this complex acquisition world, we all win. 🇺🇸 __________________ ... and here's the Bonus story for the #AvGeeks and #AcqNerds: The United States Air Force Loyal Wingman program is one of the most-watched government projects these days because of it's mission criticality (see source 1 below) and also the fact that- according to Pryzm's analysis direct from congressional records - the CCA program #Budget is set to #TRIPLE by 2027 and then #DOUBLE again by 2028 to about $3 Billion/year. The vehicle in image 1 is Anduril Industries' horse in the race and it's called Fury. While it was revealed this summer that Anduril had been a winner of the first tranche of #AgileAcquisition awards from the CCA program (alongside General Atomics), the world first learned of Fury when Anduril announced the acquisition of a small, unassuming business called Blue Force Technologies (BFT, see source 2). As a small snapshot of Pryzm’s capabilities (image 4), we're able to quickly see that BFT won an award for $44 Million earlier this year (post-Anduril acquisition) and that there were 5 subcontractors for engineering services. We also see that this work is adapted from 2018 work on a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) #SBIR, indicating that the program offices were able to successfully coordinate a tech transition campaign from early prototyping to full-scale platform development. 🤠 Sources: "The Need for Collaborative Combat Aircraft" (Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies, 2024): https://lnkd.in/gAaFsxVD "Anduril Acquires Blue Force Technologies" (TechCrunch, 2023) _____________ #DefenseTech #AcquisitionReform #GovCon #CCA #AFA #DIB #Autonomy

See you in ‘25: What a year it’s been for both the world and for Pryzm... As people all over the globe head into the holidays reflecting on the meaning of #security in the wake of increasing international tensions, domestic #politics, natural disasters, and even the #DronesInNewJersey, it is clear that the public sector is going to continue to be called upon for increasingly complex and consequential tasks in the coming years. The responsibility of ensuring that governments can rapidly #procure and economically sustain the most effective #technology possible for those challenges is going to be a critical undertaking - and that is why it is the core mission of our company. Our journey since leaving organizations like Lockheed Martin and Palantir Technologies was defined this year by an incredible ecosystem of people that have taken a bet on the #BrighterFuture alongside us and who deserve a lot of praise: 🏗️ Our earliest product adopters, starting with Scott and Sahil; 🏆 Our lead Investors, Ross, JeanClaude, and Camille from XYZ Venture Capital and Connor, Paul, and Katie from Amplify.LA; 🧨 Our other major investors, Arthur and Donavan at First In and Bocar, Olivia, and Daniela at Forum Ventures; 🧞♂️ Our numerous unnamed #Angels; 🔮And those others who believed in us well before it was (maybe?) “cool” to do so, looking especially to you Maia and Olivia. We also owe thanks to the many organizations creating the spaces where so much of our progress was made this year - namely, Air & Space Forces Association, Association of the United States Army - AUSA, Capital Factory, #SOFWeek, TECH WEEK by a16z, and of course, Decisive Point. Ultimately, despite the great uncertainty of our times, it is our amazing partners in this infinite pursuit that give cause for an even higher optimism. Time to Build, - 🇺🇸 ______________ #JoinUs: If this post is the first time you’re hearing of Pryzm and your personal passion is also to transform the way technology companies solve #NationalSecurity problems, then we've got a spot for you here: https://lnkd.in/gmdQFP8z #AcqNerds #AvGeek #AcquisitionReform #NDAA #DOGE #Musk #Trump #SecDef #ContinuingResolution Nick Justin Raj David

Since today is the day each year where most people learn from Spotify exactly where in the #Swiftie rankings they land, here is a rare behind-the-scenes glance into the musical minds of our world-class #Engineering Team... 🏗️ First: we ship a lot of code each week, and we have fun doing it. Flow states come from across the spectrum - so from pop and metal to obscure classical and Japanese synth-wave, it's getting dropped in the team Slack. 🌎 We also keep a close eye on the geopolitical shifts happening in the world of #DefenseTech, and The Merge has become a staple of our team huddles on a weekly basis. Like many others in our industry, we owe some sense of our mission to Chris Brose and the #KillChain and as we've scaled the team it has become required reading. If this is a #Team culture you want to be a part of, shoot us a message as we're always on the hunt for our next product wizard or #AcquisitonNerd with an eye for eclectic tunes. Overheard at the International Spy Museum: "If James Bond started a second career as a Defense Contractor, his first issued gadget would probably be Pryzm" 🏎 Thanks to our incredible partners at XYZ Venture Capital, we were able to participate in a series of roundtable discussions in #WashingtonDC yesterday focused on #accelerating relationships between tech companies and their government partners. 🌌 Nick specifically led a conversation on maximizing the #ReturnOnInvestment of in-person attendance at conferences and events since that channel can be the most impactful for fast-growing companies if done properly (especially when the Pryzm platform is involved). 🚀 Ultimately, the metaphor of our host location was also not lost on us... while the MI6 sports cars with missile launchers may be fictitious, much of the technology that has actually helped the #IntelligenceCommunity succeed over history has been rapidly-adaptable #commercial technology - and, despite what many see as a labyrinth for tech companies navigating the government contracting business, there really is a #BrighterFuture for those who can chart an effective course. That's why we exist. - 🇺🇸 #BonusDiscussion: If you could have one 007 gadget in real life, what would it be? __________________________________ #DefenseTech #AcquisitionReform #GovernmentEfficiency #DOGE #Crypto #LicenseToBuild #007 #Skyfall #AstonMartin #AstonMartinMusic #RickRoss #RossFubini #XYZ #VentureCapital

Pryzm 🤝 White House Memos on AI for Defense... To round out a tense week in American politics, we wanted to highlight the bipartisanship behind a well-calculated push to shape #ArtificialIntelligence policy for National Security and show how Pryzm sits right in the middle of it all: 🎙 In October, the Biden Administration delivered a lengthy memorandum to all Executive Branch stakeholders of the National Security enterprise highlighting the criticality of advancing the full scope of AI development capabilities - from foundational manufacturing to application policy - at a rapid but responsible pace. 💰 #HowAmericaBuys - one of Pryzm's key themes - was front and center in Section 4.1.d: "To accelerate the use of AI in service of its national security mission, the United States Government needs COORDINATED AND EFFECTIVE #ACQUISITION AND PROCUREMENT SYSTEMS. This will require an enhanced capacity to assess, define, and articulate AI-related requirements for national security purposes, as well as improved accessibility for AI companies that lack significant prior experience working with the United States Government." Then, in Section the 4.1.e, it requires the DOD/ODNI Working Group to promote... " Simplifying #processes such that companies without experienced contracting teams may meaningfully #compete for #relevant contracts, to ensure that the United States Government has access to a wide range of AI systems and that the AI marketplace is competitive" 🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 Boom, there it is: the Office of President of the United States (basically*) asking for Pryzm.... 📆 Finally, all the deliverables of this memo are due within the first two years of the next Administration, so it will be interesting to watch which items are executed and which are not given the bipartisan agreement on the severity of this issue. #Comment below how you think the outcomes of this memorandum will change under a transition of power in Washington DC resulting from the recent election... - 🇺🇸 _______________________________________ #AcquisitionReform #AI #DefenseTech #DonaldTrump #Biden #KamalaHarris #Election2024 #ElectionHQ #PryzmHQ #Boston * by "basically", we assume that if you're reading this far you have some sense for what we've got going on behind the scenes, not just what can be seen on our website 🤫 Link to Memo: https://lnkd.in/gTbYnDyS

Pryzm's first podcast shoutout + an all-around electric conversation! For the topic of building in the #NationalInterest, few know it more intimately in the modern context than Scott Sanders at Forterra - and that is why we are so grateful to call him a trusted partner and advisor. What's most clear from his conversation on #DroneWars with Steven Simoni of Allen Control Systems is the #CultureShift happening in #DefenseTech for building what is "Needed" versus what is "Asked for"... As discussed around [18:07], the reality is that the relationships required to bring technology out of the lab and into the field are dynamic, non-linear, and opaque - but making sense of them is what enables companies to understand what contract-winning technology actually looks like. Simply put: Managing that relationship complexity in order to field technology faster is why Pryzm exists. Check out the episode now and comment your favorite take(s) on the future of autonomous systems, DoD Procurement, and/or extraterrestrial life. This is the way. 🇺🇸 __________________________________ [Link to Drone Wars Podcast]: https://lnkd.in/exuT9eMT #AcquisitionReform #DefenseTech #BrighterFuture #DroneWars #Podcast #UFO https://lnkd.in/gkCvfZBG

The Fall Roadtrip continues! This week, Justin is on the ground with the Association of the United States Army - AUSA at their annual technology symposium, which is one of the largest gatherings in the global #DefenseTech industry. 🛰 It's first clear that #earlystage technology companies are increasingly taking advantage of the access to end-user insights that today are only available live at these events but which are crucial meeting the complex and evolving mission needs of the United States Department of Defense. 🚁 We also cherish the opportunity to participate in this community because it allows us to reconnect with old friends like Bob Joyce and learn the perspectives of how leading companies in the AUSA domain continue to shape the immediate future of #NatSecTech. ... The week is far from over, but it's off to a great start so far. 🇺🇸 #AcquisitionReform #NDAA #DefenseTech #Army #Hypersonics #RotaryWing #Network #BoysOfFall #KennyChesney
