We are pleased to share our recently completed project for Pearl Pilates Studio. Located in Chelsea, Manhattan, this approximately 1,400 square foot interior buildout includes a reception and waiting area, an open reformer machine studio, a private class studio, a massage room, and various support spaces. Our design aimed to convey a sense of lightness and calm, echoing the studio ethos in providing a serene environment. Working in close partnership with the owner and instructor, we incorporated the use of light colors, soft materials, and patterns that evoke the natural world to serve as a respite from life's rigors for the user. Through a layering of warm natural materials with sleek manufactured elements, a contrast of textures, and purposeful curated, high-quality objects we created a bespoke, sophisticated office experience that exudes family & modern comfortability. On the boards: Coming soon. A proposed 2-story addition to this historic home contains a gym, lap pool, sauna, 2-car garage, woodshop, and multiple bedrooms. With the home being built in 1872, the design team was tasked with paying homage to the original nature of the structure while bringing these additional spaces into the 21st century.
