Transforming photobiroeactors with the AlgaTube™ product line.
About us
We are transforming the photobioreactor industry with a new kind of tubing for mass cultivation of photosynthetic algae. The AlgaTube™ (patent pending) has been proven in the lab to increase production rates by 41%, when compared to a standard round tube.

A photo and a render of our AlgaTube™ adapter - the critical component that enables a PBR designer to connect AlgaTubes to standard tubes for additional processing with standard round equipment. The special shape of the AlgaTube™ is intended only for the photoillumination step where light powers the photosynthetic process. There are a number of other steps, and those other steps typically require a standard, round tube configuration. The AlgaTube™ adapter shown here in 1.5" OD makes that transition from AlgaTube™ to standard round quick, easy, and leak-free! Check out the entire selection of tubes and components on the PT website. #algae #biomass #photosynthesis #photobioreactor #spirulina #chlorella #pbr

Yours truly with one of our aluminum/LED Stand Kits assembled in the atrium of our wonderful Life Sciences Building here at BYU. Fun Fact: The designs for this building were originally funded by University of California for their Berkeley campus. We ended up using them (or a copy of them) for our Life Sciences Building here in Provo! It is a beautiful, new 5-story building completed in 2014 at a cost of $95 Million. It is built onto a hillside. It fits in well with the nearby mountains and is home to several hundred Life Science Professors, not to mention thousands of students. #BYULifeSciences #Photobioreactors #Photosynthesis #algae #AlgaTube #spirulina #Chlorella #biofuels
