Pulse Defibs recently featured in Owners Corporation Network of Australia Ltd (OCN) ACT Newsletter. Thank you OCN for the opportunity to spread awareness, deliver the facts and provide information that may assist owners corporations in the ACT to create safer strata plans. Ambulance response times in the ACT range between 8.95 minutes to 14.70 minutes. Statistics show that a victim's chances of survival decrease by 10% for every minute that passes without quality CPR and the use of a defibrillator. Statistics show that 25,000 Australians experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest each year and 18,000 of these happen within residential settings. Making home the most likely place for Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) to occur. We specialise in strata as it is not realistic for every Australian home to own a defibrillator. However, through a community approach we are able to target SCA statistics more efficiently with a single defibrillator serving multiple homes at a shared cost to owners.
