Purdue Physics and Astronomy reposted this
Last week I had the fantastic opportunity to present my research at the 245th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in National Harbor, MD. I presented an iPoster on my investigation of quasar environments at high-redshifts conducted within the ODIN collaboration. Many fond memories were made roadtripping with my travel companions Amelia Binau, Braden Garretson, Grace Katz, and Brooklyn Gustaf. We visited monuments, caught some fascinating posters and talks, and even had the once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center where I happened to meet Chief Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dr. Jonathan Lunine, and got a selfie with him! Also, shout out to Slooh and all they’re doing for interactive astronomy outreach in K-12 classrooms! It was nice to meet Anna Paolucci again!

The 245th meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) was held last week in National Harbor, Maryland. Purdue Physics and Astronomy had a major presence this year. Some students had the opportunity to visit the Roman Space Telescope being built at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy Danny Milisavljevic ran demonstrations of their mixed reality platform. Looks like everyone had a fantastic time! #BoilerUp #GiantLeaps #NASA

A huge thank you and congratulations to Mark Linvill! He's a #Purdue Thumb's Up recipient this week. He was given the thumbs up by Purdue Physics and Astronomy Head Gabor Csathy and Associate Professor Danny Milisavljevic for "his outstanding contributions. His services are truly invaluable, and many of our research efforts would not be possible without his expertise. Mark is consistently prompt, responsive and incredibly helpful. He has a remarkable ability to devise clever solutions to even the most challenging computational problems. His dedication and innovative approach are deeply appreciated by all of us." #BoilerUp https://lnkd.in/dttTJ2ty
