  • From all of us at Purdue Libraries, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a happy new year! At Purdue Libraries, we are proud to be "more than books." In 2024, we’ve refreshed our spaces, expanded our resources, and strengthened our services and curriculum to better support both students and faculty. Our global impact continues to grow, and we are excited to share a special video that highlights some of our milestones from this year. We are filled with anticipation for the opportunities and continued growth that lies ahead in 2025. We hope you enjoy reflecting back on 2024 with us.

  • Join us on Wednesday, December 11 at 2:00 PM for a captivating conversation with #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave, as she discusses her newest book The Night We Lost Him. The Night We Lost Him focuses on estranged siblings who discover their father has been keeping a secret for over fifty years—one that may have been fatal. Liam Noone was many things to many people. To the public, he was an exacting, self-made hotel magnate fleeing his past. To his three ex-wives, he was a loving albeit distant family man who kept his finances flush and his families carefully separated. To Nora, he was a father who often loved her from afar—notably a cliffside cottage perched on the California coast from which he fell to his death. The authorities rule the death accidental, but Nora and her estranged brother Sam have other ideas. As Nora and Sam form an uneasy alliance to unravel the mystery, they start putting together the pieces of their father's past and uncover a family secret that changes everything. https://hubs.la/Q02Yf_cM0

  • From 2021 to 2023, Purdue faculty saved more than $1.2 million in open access publishing costs through Cambridge University Press, IOP Publishing, and Wiley. These savings come at no cost to faculty, as Libraries’ subscriptions cover the fees due to our licensed journal agreements with these publishers. For students, the financial benefits are significant as well. From fall 2023 to fall 2024, students have avoided a total of over $2.4 million in costs. These savings reflect our commitment to making research more accessible and fostering a thriving academic environment. Thank you for your continued support!
