Week 11 of the Datina Designs course saw a week of hands-on learning, creativity, and skill-building! Students began the week by diving into the process of drafting a basic shirt pattern, laying a solid foundation for their journey into fashion design. They then deepened their understanding of pattern creation, with a focus on mastering the art of drafting a shirt collar. As the week progressed, students spent time cutting and sewing their shirt patterns, bringing their designs to life. They also refined their skills in fashion illustration, improving their ability to sketch with precision and detail. This program is more than just learning the technicalities of fashion design—it’s about creating opportunities for women to build a sustainable future. By equipping students with valuable sewing, pattern-making, and design skills, the project not only fosters creativity but also nurtures economic empowerment. For many of these women, the skills they acquire are the stepping stones to a brighter future—whether it's through entrepreneurship, gaining employment, or simply having the confidence to pursue their passions. Supported by The Fashion Impact Fund, a program of PVBLIC Foundation, Datina Designs is proud to empower women in the community through this transformative initiative, which fosters hope, builds economic inclusion, and drives long-term change. #FashionEducation #PVBLIC #DatinaDesigns Kerry Bannigan | Daniel Wilkins | Laurence Kalinsky | Sergio Fernandez de Cordova | Stephen Keppel
