🌞 Exciting News from Qair UK! We are thrilled to announce that Straws Hadley Solar Farm, a 49.9MWp solar project in Aylesbury, has received planning approval from Buckinghamshire Council. This milestone marks our third major solar project approval in 2024, alongside Lark Hill Solar Farm and Washdyke Solar Farm, totalling 140.9MWp of consented solar energy this year. 🌿 Environmental Impact: Powering approximately 14,000 UK homes annually Reducing CO2 emissions by around 11,000 tonnes per year - equivalent to planting 470,000 trees Enhancing local biodiversity with habitat and hedge gains We thank planning consultants at TEP - The Environment Partnership for their invaluable support throughout the planning process. 🤝 Sam Burgess, Project Manager at Qair, shared: “Securing planning permission isn’t just a milestone – it’s the foundation for building a brighter and more sustainable future. Success Connections, a subsidiary of Qair UK, are delighted to announce that they have completed their first 132kV Energisation of the Swangate Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). 🎉 Swangate BESS is a 50MW, 102 MWh project in Rotherham. Green Switch Capital, now a part of Qair Group, are delighted to announce that we have received planning permission for Lark Hill Solar Farm in Essex, a project exporting 50MW. Covering around 66 hectares, the solar farm will generate enough power to meet the needs of approximately 20,970 UK homes annually and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 27,950 tonnes of CO2 per year. The team at Green Switch, along with planning support from the consultants at Axis, were able to successfully secure planning consent from Rochford District Council. This project marks another significant step forward in our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. #UK: Qair acquires Green Switch Capital (GSC), a UK–based renewable energy developer specialized in solar PV, battery storage (BESS) and onshore wind technologies. GSC' pipeline of over 15 GW will add to Qair’s existing portfolio in the UK, which already includes offshore wind, energy from waste, and onshore renewable projects. With this acquisition Qair aims to expand and diversify its presence in the UK and position itself as a major renewable player in the country.
