It has been an eventful two weeks for myself and Qaptis The journey began in Düsseldorf, at the ECTA - European Chemical Transport Association annual meeting, where I had the privilege of presenting on "Mobile CO2 capture for accelerating the decarbonization of logistics" and showcasing how Qaptis is working hard to achieve this goal. A big thank you to Andreas Zink and LKW WALTER for the kind invitation, and to Estelle Zink for organizing this fantastic event so flawlessly. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with friends Romain Mouton and Maxime John OLIVIER. I was honoured to be in the company of Alphonse Laffont, and had the opportunity to learn from his valuable insights and wealth of experience. Qaptis and its technology was then showcased at COP29 Azerbaijan where we were thrilled to win the 1st place in "COP29 Global Green Innovation Challenge" among more than 40 exceptional finalists, carefully selected from around the world. A heartfelt thanks to Abbas Kazmi, COP29 Azerbaijan, SABAH.HUB, and ABB for organizing this event. Finally, I joined the Swiss delegate in Stockholm for the pre-event leading up to Slush. We had amazing exchanges with great people from Uppsala's research and startup ecosystem before heading to Helsinki. Many thanks to the Embassy of Switzerland in Finland and Sabrina Dallafior for hosting us and providing such valuable support. I am very grateful to Anne Badan and Emmi Kavander for their thought-provoking panel discussions. Slush was an outstanding experience, offering the opportunity to showcase Qaptis and connect with investors, partners and clients from across the globe. It was truly inspiring to meet fellow members of the Swiss startup ecosystem who are tirelessly working to create a positive impact in people's lives. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Switzerland Global Enterprise, with special thanks to Felicitas Gartmann and Gustav Henriksson. I was also fortunate to catch up with amazing friends Nikunj Dudani, Arthur Blaser, Mohsen Falahi, Giovanni Porcellana, Ahmed Ben Faleh, Sarvesh Poddar, Naoufel MENADI, Simon Enderli and so many others. A few days ago, our team, Theodore & Stéphanie, joined the Showcase 2030 by Enterprise for Society Center (E4S) in Lausanne. The event brought together sustainable experts across industry, academia and policymaking, all united by a shared vision of advancing #sustainability in our society. Have you heard of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle? As one of the featured startups in the Reduce vertical, we presented our solution and how it will fit into the circular carbon economy (#CCE). By capturing CO₂ emissions and giving them a new purpose, we're not only reducing pollution levels in the air but also helping to turn carbon waste into resources 📉 ♻️ Remember, reducing emissions in hard-to-decarbonize industries alone won't be enough.
