Our Executive Director, Kevin Maynard, and Performance Arts Director, Margot Day, had a very busy week last week as they attended the Midwest Arts Xpo. 🚀 Kevin took part in the Theatre for Young Audiences Symposium to share insights on our unique Performance Art Mentorship (QCPAM) commissioning model. Unlike traditional methods, QCPAM focuses on empowering local performers to create and refine work for public schools, with the ultimate goal of touring beyond the Quad Cities. Communities across the Midwest are taking note of this grassroots approach and its potential to fuel the Arts and Culture ecosystem! Kevin was also busy contributing to the conference committee on mentorship, where they paired mentors with mentees, led a session for new colleagues, and provided tours of the expo hall. It was a powerful experience that fostered meaningful connections within the arts community. 🙌 Attending the Midwest Arts Xpo is vital for Quad City Arts as it opens doors for networking, showcasing our innovative programming, and attracting exciting new collaborations. It ensures we stay at the forefront of arts trends while continuing to promote and support the arts in the Quad Cities. 💥 #MidwestArtsXpo #QCPAM #QuadCityArts #ArtsCommunity #TheatreForYoungAudiences #SupportingTheArts #MentorshipInTheArts
