It's been a pretty busy summer for all of us so far - lots of traveling, working on projects, and taking much-needed breaks! What have you been up to?

Earlier this week, we were invited to a ReproducibiliTea Leeds discussion of "Rethinking Transparency and Rigor from a Qualitative Open Science Perspective." It was really cool hearing people's thoughts about the paper and its implications. My key takeaways were that people want qualitative perspectives reflected in the TOP Factor guidelines, etc., and we need reflect on the "why" of various open science practices. As I said in the meeting, I hope that this paper helps to start/continue these conversations. It's not the end-all-be-all!

If you're interested in potentially participating, send in a submission before February 2! A little bit about the conference: STS Conference Graz 2024 The 22nd Annual STS Conference Graz 2024, "Critical Issues in Science, Technology and Society Studies," is the joint Annual Conference of the Science Technology and Society Unit of the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science of Graz University of Technology, the Inter-University Research Centre for Technology, Work and Culture (IFZ) and the Institute for Advanced Studies of Science, Technology and Society (IAS-STS).
