The new year is just getting started, and our QB team is always staying productive…and warming up to stay safe and efficient! With freezing January temps, we wanted to share some of the exercises our crew does to stay moving and productive: 💪 •Arm Circles: (30 seconds): small circles forward for 15 seconds, then reverse •Ankle Rolls: (30 seconds each foot): rotate each ankle in circles •Leg Swings: (30 seconds each leg) swing one leg forward and back, then switch •Torso Twists: (30 seconds) rotate torso side to side with arms moving freely •Knee Lifts (1 minute) march in place, lifting knees toward chest •Squats (1 minute) lower hips as if sitting, then stand up. Repeat. #ConstructionSafety #WorksiteSafety #SafetyFirst #ConstructionTips #SafetyTips #QualityBuildings #ConstructionCrew

🌲 Ever wonder why there's a tree on top of that new building downtown? It's one of our favorite construction traditions - placing an evergreen, or “topping out” the highest point when the structural frame is completed. The practice started way back in 700 AD when Scandinavian builders would pop a tree up top to say, 'time to celebrate!' At Quality Buildings, we love the tradition of topping trees which are known as symbols of good luck and prosperity. Why? Because we're timber folks through and through. There's something poetic about celebrating with an evergreen when we've just built an entire structure from its sustainably harvested cousins. Every mass timber building we complete is actually doing the same job as those evergreen trees in our forests - storing carbon and helping fight climate change.
