Funding the Care | Funding the Cure. While honoring someone you love.
About us
For a donation of $250, the name and hometown of the person you want to honor — a current sufferer or someone you’d like to remember — will join us for the rest of the racing season, funding the care and funding the cure. Alzheimer’s afflicts 5.8 million Americans and over 50 million people worldwide, with tragic consequences for the individuals, families and societies grappling with its devastating effects. A degenerative brain disease, Alzheimer’s currently has no cure. However, enormous progress is being made toward understanding the nature and mechanisms of the disease; formulating new treatments and diagnostics; and providing effective and compassionate support for overwhelmed caregivers. Every day brings new hope. These promising new developments deserve our urgent, full-throttle help. The non-profit Racing to End Alzheimer’s Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the cutting edge research, treatment and support services that will end the scourge of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia once and for all.

As we look back on 2024, we’re proud to share the incredible difference the UCLA Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Program has made in the lives of patients and caregivers. Their impact is why we are honored to call them one of our beneficiaries. Here are just a few of their remarkable achievements last year: • Over 4,300 patients and caregivers served, providing much-needed education, support, and relief. • Caregivers reported less stress and depression, and patients experienced fewer behavioral symptoms like agitation and apathy. • Expanded reach to 30 new healthcare sites nationwide to bring this life-changing program to more communities. Looking Ahead to 2025 The program aims to: • Care for 1,500 UCLA patients living with dementia. • Grow their team and form new community partnerships to extend their reach. Remember, your donation to Racing to End Alzheimer’s is matched, doubling your impact for families facing Alzheimer’s and dementia. Did you know today is Nobel Prize Day? We'd like to recognize the groundbreaking work of Nobel laureates John O’Keefe, May-Britt Moser, and Edvard Moser. Their discoveries of 'place cells' and 'grid cells' have been crucial to Alzheimer’s research. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2014, their work has helped uncover how memory and navigation are affected by neurodegenerative diseases, offering hope for future breakthroughs in treatment and, one day, a cure. Learn more about their extraordinary contributions and their impact on Alzheimer’s research here: https://lnkd.in/gPpP-psE Today, we reflect on the power of science to bring us closer to ending Alzheimer’s. #NobelPrizeDay #AlzheimersResearch #r2endalz

Celebrating another successful year of donations! Our founder Phil recently visited the Nantz National Alzheimer Center (NNAC) at Houston Methodist to present this year’s contribution check, made possible by your generous donations. As one of our two beneficiaries, NNAC is pioneering advancements in Alzheimer’s care, research, and the quest for a cure. Together, we’re driving progress — and it’s your support that makes it all possible. You’re not just part of the journey; you’re the reason we’re able to make a difference. #r2endalz #houstonmethodist
