Roby Lynn, PhD and Rebecca Peterson got to visit with the #R2Partner Arduino this week at their headquarters in Turin, Italy. An important RAC component is supplied by #ArduinoPro, so it was exciting to meet their product management and development team. R2 loves working with Arduino because we share a common ethos: we both believe that bringing development-friendly control platforms to robotics and automation is essential for greater productivity in an increasingly robotized world. We're excited to be a part of this growth by bringing robotic autonomy to industrial operations and providing a platform for the next generation of engineers to more easily control equipment.

The A3 - Association for Advancing Automation AI & Smart Automation Conference was fantastic. I always enjoy catching up with collaborators, customers, and colleagues at events like this one. We heard from many speakers about the struggles that manufacturers have with legacy equipment and control systems, in addition to workforce challenges and difficulty in finding talented automation engineers. That all rang true to me, as R2 Labs was founded to combat those same problems. We build systems that make the process of monitoring and controlling equipment as simple as writing basic #python code, thereby empowering the next generation of automation and robotics engineers to accomplish great work using their existing skillsets. Thanks to Ward Broom, John Avery, Robert Huschka, ATDC, and all the speakers - particularly Kence Anderson. While I was on campus, I decided to catch up with some old friends from my time as a graduate student at GT - Camellia Henry, Glenda Johnson, and Nathaniel Mauldin. I also discovered, much to my delight, that my photo is still featured on a scrolling deck in the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute building. They say fame is forever and here is your proof.

🌟 Exciting insights from the Technology Executives Roundtable (TER) event at Cox Automotive Inc. last night! 🌟 We had the distinct pleasure of hearing Marianne McPeak-Johnson speak at last night's TER event, which was expertly moderated by the one and only John Yates. We were particularly inspired by Marianne's insights on enterprise customer engagement and the future of tech. Marianne also shared personal insights about being a leader, which resonated deeply and highlighted the importance of vision, adaptability, and a good sense of humor. It's clear that the future is bright for innovation in our region, and I’m excited to see how these initiatives will shape our community and industry. We are expanding our global reach at R2 Labs! Thanks to Vadim Pashaev and Andrey Zaliyev for showing us around Almaty, Kazakhstan and explaining the opportunities for robotics and automation in the Central Asia region. As an integral sector in the global economy, exciting possibilities await here. Vadim originally heard about R2 from our work with Arduino, and it is always amazing to me to explore where such chance encounters can lead. While I was in the area, I figured I would reconnect with an old friend of mine, Yuri Gagarin (you may remember him as a bit of a pioneer in the global Space Race). It just so happens that he is immortalized in nearby Barskoon in a very picturesque location. What a coincidence. Looking good Yuri!
