Early detection is key in the fight against lung cancer. A low-dose lung CT scan offers a powerful tool for detecting lung cancer at its earliest stages, often before symptoms appear. This non-invasive screening method provides detailed images of your lungs. Regular screening with low-dose CT can reduce the risk of lung cancer death by 20%, making it an essential part of proactive healthcare, especially for those at high risk. A screening mammogram is a routine test recommended for women without any symptoms. It's a proactive measure to detect breast cancer early, even before you feel or see anything unusual. On the other hand, a diagnostic mammogram is more targeted. It's used when there’s a lump, pain, or other symptoms, or if an abnormality was found in a screening mammogram. This test provides a closer, more detailed look to help diagnose what's going on. Both are essential tools in the fight against breast cancer, each serving a unique purpose in keeping you healthy.
