We certified the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria as dog-friendly; it scored a respectable B rank, making it a good choice for dog owners visiting Sorrento, Italy. This hotel shares many of the same characteristics as A-ranking hotels; for example, it provides beds and bowls, can organize dog walking, has a garden for you to use, and, best of all, dogs stay for free at this hotel.
They do not have an A rank because they lack canine inclusivity, which is non-existent at the hotel. Dogs are not allowed in the bar, restaurant, or communal areas, meaning you cannot enjoy this hotel with your dog. They also have a vague weight limit and allow "small to medium" sized dogs, something we see at hotels that selectively use weight limits to decide which dogs can stay.
It is a shame, Guido Fiorentino and Luca Fiorentino; by every other measure, you should be an A-ranking hotel, but your level of inclusivity shames you and calls into question your commitment to being dog friendly.
