Our 4th annual Rappahannock River Symposium at Woolen Mill in Fredericksburg, brought together over 150 attendees to discuss collaborative efforts to protect the watershed. 🌱😁 Key highlights included updates on conservation projects, funding for tree-planting in underserved areas, and new riparian buffer plans. Virginia DEQ Director Mike Rolband announced over $100,000 in funding for local best management practices. With the support of multiple grants, including $300,000 from the Arbor Day Foundation, projects will focus on climate resilience and ecosystem restoration, particularly on Rappahannock Tribe lands.
