I rarely win anything. I'm not a competitive person by nature, but oh, the joy that comes with celebrating when you do win something. 🏅 Especially when you're the underdog in a margarita-making contest because... you don’t drink. 🪇 At a recent IRL work event, we had a team-building margarita-making contest. My team consisted of fellow non-drinking coworkers, so we called ourselves The Mock-a-Ritas. We were determined to create a margarita-inspired mocktail that could hold its own. The result? A refreshing, zero-alcohol drink that tasted so much like the classic, it earned us first place from a panel of peer judges! 🏆🍹 This experience demonstrated how important it is to create events where everyone feels included—whether they choose to drink or not. Inclusivity isn’t just about big initiatives; it’s about the little details that ensure no one feels left out of the fun. Cheers to my amazing teammates Thomas Johnston, Tara Tate, Nicole Dreger, who brought creativity, teamwork, and a sense of humor to the table.
