About us

We are a company working on some cool ways to use tech to monitor health and well-being, with a focus on breathing rate. Not pulse, not heart rate, but breathing measured by respiration rate. We have worked extensively on technology to assist non-invasive remote health monitoring in the user’s native environment. Powered by AI, our solutions help in the predictive analysis of health conditions. Our algorithms have an accuracy of 98% determined via nearly 500 hours of clinical evaluation. Our first product raybaby, a baby monitor which also doubled as a breathing tracker, was named a Must-Have home gadget by Wired, a top tech gift for holidays by CNN, and won innovation awards at CES and JPMA in 2018. During COVID, we deployed our innovative technology for healthcare and were able to test it in clinical settings and neonatal ICUs, besides trials in non-clinical settings. Our latest products are a step above, taking away the need for additional hardware and tapping into existing Wi-Fi signals. AL, a sophisticated software patch that works with off-the-shelf Wi-Fi chipsets to extract breathing data from smart devices and offer a range of insights, and Ruah, a mobile app that supports wellbeing with breath monitoring and training.

    Milestone Update: We are in the business of doing the impossible! If it were easy we wouldn't have taken it up. So when our client gave us a month to track breathing rate using wifi from their TVs/display devices we went at it. Imagine TVs in your homes, hospitals, or even advertising units telling you to take a deep breath when you are passing by because the TV knows you are stressed or anxious or haven't slept well. The brief was simple: No contact, no additional hardware, no dependencies. The TV turns on and tracks the breathing rate of the person in front of it - all this in the background while the TV functions normally. We are very passionate about bringing awareness around tracking breathing rate on a daily basis. We started our journey with babies and now we have collected 7B data points on how breathing rate affects your daily living (babies, adult and seniorcare), be it predicting heart attacks, or optimising exercise everyday, or ageing well. 22,000 is the number of breaths an adult human takes every day. Your run-of-the-mill smart watches track it only when you are sleeping.
