🚨 One last reminder for 2024: Registration is open for our 2025 Virtual Operator Conference happening in February! VirCon is completely free, and will have up to 12 hours of CEU credit available to attendees. The event provides an excellent opportunity for operators of small and rural public water systems to learn about timely topics, improve fundamental skills, and get support for specific challenges. All conference instructors are expert Rural Community Assistance Partnership Incorporated (RCAP) technical assistance providers. In 2024, the conference was accepted for drinking water CEUs in 40 states. We are currently in the process of submitting applications for 2025 and will be sure to keep the list of approved states updated. Between 12.1 million and 19.2 million households throughout the U.S. lack affordable access to water services, according to a preliminary report released by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to Congress, detailing water affordability across the U.S. among households and utilities. As staggering as that number is, RCAP continues to work vigorously to provide small, rural communities with accessible and affordable drinking water solutions. We are seeking abstracts for our upcoming Infrastructure Financing and Training Workshop! The conference will be on March 25-27 in Seattle, Washington. The workshop aims to provide a collaborative & educational forum for the EPA, state SRF programs, TAPs, and other stakeholders. We welcome a wide range of abstracts and topic suggestions related to the SRF, so please be creative.
