These associates put the EXTRA in extra credit. They chose to spend their Wish Day helping two Christel House schools prepare for the upcoming year. They had no time for recess as there was plenty to do making bulletin boards, sorting supplies and arranging classrooms. It’s great to see they still shared laughs and enjoyed some old school camaraderie making it a gold star day. Associates get a full day paid to volunteer at a 501©3 organization of their choice annually.

Let’s taco ‘bout having fun at work! Last week, associates gathered at Punch Bowl Social for an afternoon of arcade games, bowling, prizes, and a Mexican-inspired lunch. Whether they were tossing hangers for a chance to win a Fever jersey, or belting out tunes in one of the karaoke rooms, it was wildly apparent that the highlight of the event was the opportunity to mix, mingle, and share some laughs with fellow associates!

Last week, a group of associates represented RCI at the Indiana Black Expo’s 2024 Pacers Sports & Entertainment Corporate Luncheon! They enjoyed networking opportunities and an engaging program honoring this year's award recipients. The theme this year was “Our Legacy, Our Influence, Our Future” and honored individuals who have made significant contributions to the Black community as well as those who continue to tell the story about who we are and pave the way for our communities.

Last week our President & CEO Michael Brown went on the road and hosted our latest Global Town Hall from Indianapolis, Indiana – home to many of our RCI associates! In addition to highlighting RCI’s 50th anniversary and showcasing the legacy and achievements of the RCI team, Michael recognized the great work our team is doing to deliver on our Customer Obsession strategic pillar.

The 19th Annual CLD Charity Golf Classic was a hole-in-one! A dedicated team of RCI’ers supported the cause by volunteering and golfing at the event. Going beyond the traditional golf tournament, CLD also hosted a group of youths for golf lessons with a pro and leadership mentoring at the clubhouse. We were thrilled to include Christel House students and even some of our RCI associates' children in this special part of the day! As always, we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the Center for Leadership Development & Christel House, as they continue to make a significant impact on the lives of many in our community.

Juneteenth is a time to celebrate and reflect on the resilience and achievements of African Americans. Today, we honor the historical narratives that have promoted racial and personal advancement since Freedom Day. We encourage our associates to take this opportunity to reconnect, recognize and appreciate the significance of commemorating the end of slavery in America. Let's celebrate progress and look forward to a brighter future together!

Check out these highlights from Pride Month celebrations at our Indy office! RCI associates marched in the 2024 Indy Pride Parade downtown, and the Pride Diversity Resource Group hosted an event at the office to celebrate and showcase their support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

June is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and that is exactly what our Pride Diversity Resource Group plans to do. Keep an eye out for a month of fun and educational events, including the Indianapolis Pride parade!
