RECREATE took the stage in showcasing innovations for a sustainable automotive future at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, taking place from 10th to 14th September. As part of the Remanufacturing Day, representatives of our consortium partner APRA Europe AISBL, presented the initiative and RECREATE's research in advancing the re-manufacturing of fiber-reinforced composite materials drew significant attention. The RECREATE booth featured visuals and detailed information about the project, complemented by a compelling address from Dr. Daniel C. F. Köhler, Chairman of APRA Europe. His speech emphasised the transformative potential of re-manufacturing in the automotive sector, inspiring collaboration among industry leaders. Automechanika 2024, a global hub for automotive innovation, hosted over 4,200 exhibitors and attracted 108,000 visitors from 172 countries. The event focused on themes such as electrification, sustainable mobility, and the circular economy. Highlights included the Future Mobility Park, interactive workshops on high-voltage vehicle repair, and the unveiling of cutting-edge technologies, reinforcing the theme “Driving Transformation”. 🌟 Exploring Collaboration and Innovation with RECREATE Our project partner Grifo multimedia (GRIFO) recently participated in a dynamic meeting hosted by Confindustria Bari e BAT- TIC (Terziario Innovativo e Comunicazione). The gathering brought together several stakeholders to showcase activities and explore collaboration opportunities. GRIFO presented their role in the RECREATE project, highlighting innovative contributions aimed at driving sustainability and education. Leading the Work-package 7: Co-design and validation of learning resources, their activities focus on: ✅ Developing an interactive assessment tool on circular economy and sustainability, leveraging gamification techniques and rich multimedia (videos, animations, etc.). ✅ Creating an educational digital twin to simulate and teach about special technologies developed within the project. ✅ Advancing evolving platforms to enable impactful, real-world applications. 🚀 Great progress in the RECREATE project! On Wednesday, 6th October 2024, our consortium came together virtually to review the latest advancements and align on the next steps. 💡 Partners had productive discussions around the project ongoing activities specially around the nine demonstrators, focusing on how each can contribute to increasing the circular potential of glass and carbon fibre composites using state-of-the-art technologies.
