At Red Oak, we are passionate about connecting with our local community and organizations who, on a daily basis, help those in need. One of the ways we do this, is through our volunteering initiative. Some of our team last week volunteered at New Hope, Inc. in Attleboro MA. The purpose was to assist them in prepping their on-site store and start to get it ready for their clients to utilize. Our team worked on removing baseboards and trim, as well as sanding and priming. Definitely hard work but so worth the effort! For those who don’t know, New Hope Inc. is a non-profit organization which plays a critical role in helping those affected by domestic and sexual violence and currently serves 41 communities within Central and Southeastern Massachusetts. They also offer a wide range of services to reduce violence at the individual and community levels. We are proud of our relationship with New Hope and look forward to volunteering there again soon.

Our team recently visited with both the CVS Mail Facility and Specialty Facility in Chicago. It was a good opportunity to connect with one of our parent companies and learn the ins and outs of the Mail and Specialty Pharmacy Programs and the impact they have on the millions of patients, family and neighbors who rely on these services daily.

What a great way to kick off the first quarter! Our entire team recently came together to do a “big build” for New Life Furniture Bank of MA. We were able to build 50 dressers and donate them to New Life who then makes them available at no charge to those in need through referring agencies. What we didn’t know was how these dressers play a critical part in helping families transition out of homelessness. At a minimum their clients need a bed and a dresser to be able to bring their child(ren) home with them. We are grateful we were able to contribute in a small way to helping those in need in our local community who are trying to rebuild their lives.

We can't close the year without posting pictures from our annual cubicle holiday decoration contest we held earlier this month. Talk about competitive! The entries this year were so festive and fierce: Winter Wonderland, a stroll through the Town of Mansfield MA; A Charlie Brown Christmas, Elf Inspired theme; Nicolas Cage Christmas; Dr. Seuss; the Polar Express, Santa’s workshop and so many office doors which were decorated, not only shows our competitive spirit but also brought a lot of festivity to the office. The team was divided into groups and each team was responsible for filling their bin with a provided list of necessities. To see the bins overflow with donations is truly inspiring.
