Regence has been a proud supporter of the KGW-TV Great Toy Drive for more than two decades. This community event allows us to join forces with other local businesses to help more than a hundred local nonprofits, like KairosPDX, bring a smile to children's faces this holiday season.

“We really all need to work together, and when we see that happen it’s just so thrilling in our community," said Tony DeFalco, executive director of the Latino Network. Latino Network is one of more than 150 nonprofits participating in this year’s KGW-TV Great Toy Drive. The nonprofit focuses on the Latino community and working with youth on education and succeeding in school. Regence’s Tonya Macedo joined Tony on "Hello, Rose City!" to learn how the toy drive is helping Latino Network bring smiles to children’s faces this holiday season.

It’s hard to lose a loved one, and that loss can be even harder for a child. The Dougy Center is there to provide a safe space for families to come together and cope. The KGW-TV Great Toy Drive allows them to provide each child a stuffed animal this holiday season. Regence’s Tracy Olsen joined Brennan Wood, executive director of the Dougy Center, on Hello, Rose City to talk about this year’s toy drive and how it helps bring a smile to kids working through grief.

A new report says that Oregonians experienced a stark 22 percent increase in per-person health care spending from 2018 to 2022, with per-person health spending now at $5,900 per year. 💸 Why are costs going up? On a new episode of the HealthChangers podcast, Bill Kramer, senior advisor for health policy at the Purchaser Business Group on Health (PBGH), says the largest share of health care comes from hospital costs, and those costs are going way up. Large health systems are using their growing market power to charge higher rates and it’s important to push back to protect consumers and employers. Listen now: https://lnkd.in/gFMhhh-w
