  • Welcome to the family! We are incredibly excited to announce we have partnered with Sky to takeover management of a impact investment portfolio previously incubated by Sky and formerly known as ‘Sky Ocean Ventures’. 🏆 We’ve long admired this groundbreaking portfolio as an early exemplification of our circularity-driven thesis and have already co-invested in UK champions Greyparrot and Matter. 📍 This is a big step for us to expand our European presence, and we are humbled to be able to support this exceptional cohort of founders and companies already delivering top venture performance. 👀 Across our three fund portfolios, Regeneration now counts nearly forty companies driving meaningful environmental and economic outcomes within consumer industries. Check out the portfolio to see the latest additions!

  • Which solutions are top-of-mind in 2025 for investors in circularity? Regeneration.VC Partner Jamie Rowles recently spoke with ClimateHack about which technologies are on his radar. Here are three key areas he's watching: 🔍 Materials (re)design: Material discovery is at the start of a major shift from trial-and-error experimentation to AI-enabled automation and enrichment of each stage of the discovery cycle. We are most excited about high-throughput discovery of materials with desirable climate properties, such as recyclability and low energy consumption during production. 🪫Circular (e-)REEs: With increasingly reliance on key critical rare earths and minerals - start-ups aggregating, disassembling and refining everything from mining tailings, batteries, magnets and compute infrastructure to the growing piles of consumer e-waste will bring more much needed circularity-driven resilience to these supply chains. 🌾Circular bioeconomy in agriculture: Reducing food waste and replacing animal proteins are two huge climate levers. Efficiently extracting waste proteins from the vast quantities of agricultural residues can both reduce food waste and further increase the sustainability of the protein transition. 📢 Check out other top investor priorities here: https://lnkd.in/e3iB5xmS

  • 🙌 Greyparrot has been named one of the 2025 #GlobalCleantech100 for the second year in a row by Cleantech Group! In 2024, Greyparrot Analyzer units detected over 40 billion waste objects, shining light on resources discarded globally. 🌎 ℹ️ Greyparrot's 2024 AI Waste Analytics Report shares insights from 55 recovery facilities across 20 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. The report identifies two major missed opportunities for the recycling industry: 📦 Waste fibers – Like paper and cardboard, these are the most common recyclables sent to landfills and incineration, accounting for 56% of unrecovered residue material by total mass. 🧴 Recyclable plastics - Accounted for 18% of the residue waste by total mass. With Greyparrot, recyclers, packaging producers, and regulators can leverage AI to transform more waste into resources. #recycling #AI #wastemanagement

We are super excited to launch with them this first-ever Regenerative Systems VC Internship Program here at SIPA and Columbia. In today’s world, it is essential to educate and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors to work towards planetary and human health. This impact VC summer internship program aims to do exactly that. We very much look forward to continue expanding our partnership with Regeneration.VC in the future.” Caroline Flammer Ph.D. | Founding Director of SIRI, A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Economics, and Columbia SIPA’s Vice Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs "When I learned about the Sustainable Investing Research Initiative at SIPA, I had to connect with Professor Caroline— and this is how everything started. Their work on system-level investing pushing for a deeper understanding of complex systems is critical in our work as venture investors, and so is bridging academia with real-world change. I am pleased to create this opportunity for students who want to work for something that gives back more than what you put in. Excited for everything else to come with Caroline at SIRI and my broader engagement with Columbia.” Greta Bertozzini | Regeneration.VC Associate
