🔥 Rekindled is 3 years old and what an amazing journey it's been! 🔥 From the very idea being concepted by two friends in a Tesco cafeteria back in 2022, we could only have dreamed to be where we are now. We started off as 2 and have grown to a solid team of 8, recently adding character art as a tool to our belts! This allows us to take on the full character creation pipeline in-house, and as a studio specialise in animation, technical animation and characters. We’re surrounded by awesome people, working on projects we’re really proud of, and are very much looking forward to what the future holds! Thankyou to everyone for the support. 🔥

Since Epic released Metahuman a few years ago, our technical animation team has spent a lot of time with studios helping them load and run efficiently in game. 🔥 A big focus has been optimising them specifically for gameplay, making them lighter and more resource friendly. We’ve also worked on upgrading their visuals, enhancing the Metahuman textures and hair work. But one of the most interesting challenges has been retargeting facial capture onto non-Metahuman humans and creatures. Setting them up so that they can use the Metahuman face control rig, allowing for clean up and animation tweaks. #metahuman #technicalanimation #gamedev #UnrealEngine #FacialAnimation
