We are excited to announce that Phase 1 of the Nubian Square Affordable & Workforce Housing Project received approval! On October 10th, the Boston Planning and Redevelopment Authority (BPDA) approved the first 45 income-restricted condominium units located on the site of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission parking lots on Harrison Avenue in Roxbury. Working in a 50/50 partnership with Dream Development, the project will bring a total of 402 income-restricted condos and apartments over 5 buildings, 20,000 sf of retail and community space, and more than one acre of public green space to the neighborhood. This milestone is a major step towards securing funding from the City of Boston's Mayors Office of Housing which will help realize the project in full. Congrats to the entire team!

This month’s blog is posted on USGlass Magazine®! As Technoform North America celebrates its 20th year of serving North America, I reflect on the challenges to market transformation to high-performance facades. I scratch the surface of a detailed research report I authored with Stephen Selkowitz for the Facade Tectonics Institute supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Join us at the Facade Tectonics World Congress in Salt Lake City next week to learn more - registration is still open at facadetectonics.org. Steve and I will be joined by Ivan Lee, P.Eng. of Morrison Hershfield and James M. Smith of Related Companies to discuss the study’s findings and the blueprint for action. See you there!
