Saddle up Reno-Tahoe! Southwest Airlines' new seasonal nonstop service to Austin is now taking off from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). This new route strengthens our connectivity, making it easier for both business and leisure travelers to access the Lone Star State. We marked the inaugural flight with live music, Texas flair, and a special visit from Lone Star One. Now flying three times weekly, this route is one of 20+ nonstop destinations from RNO: https://lnkd.in/g98uH6HZ

Love is in the air, and so is our passion for public art. For Valentine’s Day, we are celebrating the impact of public art in our community and at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). As part of the MoreRNO Infrastructure Program, diverse artworks reflecting the spirit of our region are taking flight at RNO. Public art enhances the passenger experience and strengthens our connection to Reno-Tahoe’s vibrant arts culture. We love public art, and we know you do too. Congratulations to Graham Ritz, our director of airport operations at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, on earning his Accredited Airport Executive certification. This achievement reflects his expertise, leadership and commitment to excellence in airport management. Join us in celebrating his accomplishment. 👏👏👏
“From smalls things, momma, big things one day come” I’m excited to share that I’ve officially earned my Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) designation through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE)! I couldn’t have done this without the support of so many incredible people—colleagues, mentors (specifically Mark Witsoe, A.A.E./CAE & Cris Jensen), friends, and my airport family—a few of which flew across the country. Thank you all for the encouragement, advice, and motivation along the way. Your support truly made a difference, and I’m beyond grateful. We did it! This past year was monumental for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority and our airports, thanks to our leadership and the hard work of our dedicated team. We’re proud to have achieved these milestones and look forward to building on this momentum in 2025. As we continue to grow and improve, we remain committed to serving our community and playing a key role in the region’s economic development. Here’s to an exciting year ahead.
2024 was a record-breaking year for RNO. We welcomed 4.8 million passengers, achieved major milestones like opening the expanded Ticketing Hall and approving our largest project ever—replacing all aircraft gates with modern, efficient concourses—and secured $238 million in funding for critical infrastructure through the MoreRNO program. Reno-Stead Airport also celebrated Lyten’s intent to invest $1 billion in a gigafactory, highlighting our role in northern Nevada’s economic growth. With new air service and transformative projects on the horizon, we’re ready for an even brighter 2025. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/grGS536P

With the holiday season upon us, Reno-Tahoe International Airport is expecting high demand for parking and a busy travel period ahead. Here are some helpful tips to ensure your airport experience is smooth and stress-free: ✔️ Arrive early for parking: Our main parking and overflow lots are projected to fill quickly, so we recommend leaving an extra 30 minutes early to allow time for off-site overflow parking and shuttle service. For a more seamless experience, consider using a ride-share. ✔️ Wait and Win for passenger pick-up: Drivers who use the Free Waiting Lot before picking up passengers have the chance to win flights. It’s an easy way to help reduce curbside congestion while offering great rewards. Simply use the lot and enter to win by scanning the QR code in the lot. We appreciate your business and look forward to helping you navigate the busy holiday season. Safe travels, and thanks for choosing to #FlyRNO.
