Repauno Port and Rail Terminal

Thank you to Repauno Port and Rail Terminal and Cadie DiGiambattista for hosting our quarterly Government Affairs meeting. We covered so many topics crucial to the maritime industry and the American economy including port strikes, North Atlantic right whales, the overturning of the Chevron Doctrine, and so much more! Cadie then gave us a tour of the Repauno facilities, with transportation graciously provided by Greenwich Township. We learned about Repauno’s import/export operations and got the opportunity to experience the Delaware River on a beautiful, clear day. Thanks also to Michelle Giannetti Meyer, Edward A. Fitzgerald, LCB, CCS, Peter Knorr, Ryan Mulvey, Jonathan Atwood, MPE, and our entire Government Affairs Committee for comprising a crucial part of the Maritime Exchange’s operations and community.

Last week, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, Delaware Prosperity Partnership, and Choose New Jersey, Inc. partnered to host a spinoff event of the SelectUSA Investment Summit. The spinoff event was an opportunity to tour and showcase our region for SelectUSA Investment Summit attendees and familiarize them with the region’s hydrogen ecosystem and the Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub (MACH2). The two-day tour featured visits to all three states – PA, NJ, and DE – and targeted all aspects of the hydrogen and energy ecosystem – Education and Workforce institutions, R&D centers, suppliers, producers, and end users. Attendees had a chance to visit companies already working in the hydrogen and clean technology space, listen to panel discussion on supportive infrastructure, workforce development, R&D, future plans to grow and expand the hydrogen ecosystem, and opportunities for investment in our region.
