Updates

  • If you’re thinking of getting booked on podcasts in 2025, bear in mind that the lead time from pitch to episode release can take months. It’s worth reaching out earlier and trying to book your preferred date in advance rather than risk pitching too late and missing the boat.

  • Here’s a smart way to create social media quote graphics from your podcast interview: ➡ Copy the episode transcript from Rephonic ➡ Paste it into ChatGPT or Claude with a prompt to find short, impactful quotes on specific topics ➡ Create quote graphics on Canva It could save you hours!

Rephonic truly keeps leveling up. Here are the newest updates to my fav podcast audience insights platform. These are mostly geared towards brands looking to advertise on podcasts but there are also implications for creators. Read up! -- You can now filter for shows by their likely audience, such as: Profession (e.g. Teacher, Designer, Mechanic) Interests (e.g. Baseball, Sci-fi, Christianity) Household Income Age Group Education Level Relationship Status Parental Status The updated Sponsored filter makes it easy to spot where your brand competitors are advertising. And there a few more podcast-level filters: Political leaning Whether a podcast cross-promotes other shows Whether a podcast is branded (i.e. produced by a company or organization) (I don't work with Rephonic. Just love it as a product!)

  • If you’re worried your stories aren’t landing as well as they could be during podcast interviews, you could try mapping them using Jason Gunn’s traffic light system. 🟢 Speed up delivery during moments of excitement 🟠 Maintain a steady pace for most of the story 🔴 Slow down or pause during impactful moments This way, you will be much more memorable to listeners.

  • 190,000 new podcasts were created this year so far according to Rephonic’s data. Of those we detected that 45,000 take guests. If you’re manually searching Google for podcasts to pitch you might miss out on a lot of these opportunities because their website isn’t ranking highly yet. Instead, you can easily find them on Rephonic with the search tool and filters. We search every podcast’s show notes, description and even episode transcripts for the keywords and topics you’re interested in.

  • A common mistake podcast guests make is thinking more pitches = better results. They send out generic mass pitches to tons of somewhat relevant podcasts, hoping something sticks. It rarely works. Here's how to be fast AND targeted with your outreach (link to full YouTube video in the comments)👇
