Thank you so much to the RESER | European Association for Research on Services organizers (VTT, Arho Suominen, Kirsi Hyytinen, Monnoyer Marie-Christine) and to all the amazing friends I made from around the world (Jonas Eichholz, Luciana Oliveira Militão, Tobias Schrage, Chi Sheng Liu, Bobby Cheng) . Here’s to more journeys, more discoveries, and more dreams coming true. 🌍💫

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐑 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐀𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 ✨🌍 A week ago, I was at the 34th RESER International Conference in Helsinki, Finland, organized by RESER | European Association for Research on Services and VTT. 📊🌍 It’s incredible to think that a week has already passed, time truly flies with so many commitments in this line of work! ⏳ The first day of RESER 2024 started with a Pre-Conference Workshop for PhD students, featuring Prof. Arho Suominen’s (VTT) keynote on writing high-quality articles, the content was truly inspiring, and I am very grateful to the professor, who was extremely available and willing to answer all my questions throughout the conference 📝✨ and a roundtable for research feedback where I received a first group of very valuable feedback 💬. Prof. Peter Smith (Université de Lille) shared insights on the European statistical system 🌐, while Professors Luna Leoni and Arho Suominen discussed PhD career paths 🎓 In the afternoon, leaders addressed global challenges 🌍💡. Finland’s Minister of Science and Culture, Sari Multala, opened, followed by VTT’s Jussi Manninen. Keynotes from Prof. Matthias Weber (AIT) and Prof. Toni Ahlqvist (Turun yliopisto - University of Turku) explored sustainable approaches 🌱🤝. Later, Prof. Piia Wollstén and Prof. Anni Orttenvuori-Ganter discussed Espoo’s initiatives 🏙️, while Prof. Anna Leinonen (VTT) led a session on the social value of sustainability 🌿. The day ended with reflections by Prof. Kalle Kantola 🔍 Day two began with a welcome by Dr. Kirsi Hyytinen and Prof. Arho Suominen, followed by Prof. Paula Kivimaa’s (Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) - Suomen ympäristökeskus (Syke)) keynote on sustainable governance 🌱💼, with insights from Prof. Lars Fuglsang and Prof. Tiziana Russo Spena. The morning included the RESER General Assembly presided over by President Prof. Monnoyer Marie-Christine 📜 Then I presented my paper in a parallel session and it was a privilege to receive very valuable feedback from a very authoritative audience 🎙️📝. These two inspiring days were full of debates and global connections 🌍✨ I want to thank RESER, VTT, Aalto University - Dipoli, and the entire inspiring RESER network for making this event possible. Looking forward to RESER 2025 in Rome! 🇮🇹 Special thanks to my co-author, Dr. Antonella Monda, for her invaluable support, and to Prof. Luna Leoni for her guidance and inspiring advice to me and many young researchers🌟 Finally, my most sincere gratitude goes to my supervisor and mentor Prof. Paola Paniccia for her constant encouragement and for giving me the opportunity to participate in such stimulating conference. 🙏✨ Daje tutta! 🔛 One of RESER | European Association for Research on Services's objectives is to provide doctoral students with opportunities to refine their research for future publication in academic journals. 🔝In this regard, RESER organized a workshop for doctoral students. The workshop fostered an environment conducive to critical feedback, networking, and skill development, empowering students to advance their research for high-quality academic publication. 🔝Arho Suominen made a significant contribution to this moment by presenting the topic: "How to Write a High-Quality Scientific Article?" Following this, Luna Leoni and Arho Suominen shared insights from their respective academic and professional experiences with the doctoral students. 🔜 All discussions at this meeting were highly productive. We will continue working to further encourage doctoral students' participation in the RESER workshop. Stay tuned for RESER 2025!
