Introducing PROFESSOR Jackson!!!!! Earlier this month I had the unbelievable honor of teaching a compressed course on Lobbying and Advocacy at the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law. The week was exciting and fulfilling in so many ways. Most importantly, I welcomed returning BLSA members and new HBCU Pathway scholars to the GATOR NATION! Overjoyed to see Jordyn Allen experience true history. I nicknamed her “madame president” while she was in high school; long before America ever thought it was possible for a black woman to be President. Now she is entering her first year at Harvard Law School after serving as student body president at Howard University. Ironically, her grandfather, the late W. George Allen, past president of NATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION, the first black graduate at the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law ——- and the only blacklawyer I really knew growing up, wrote my letter of recommendation to law school over 30 years ago. On International Women’s Day, we take pride in celebrating the achievements of women who have broken barriers and shattered glass ceilings.
