If your resume tries to say everything about what you’ve ever accomplished it will say nothing to a potential hiring manager.

Recently, I had the pleasure of being interviewed for Humans of Fuzia’s “He for She” segment to talk about Resolute’s story and empowering women in the workplace: https://lnkd.in/eEscZEsJ In light of recent comments made by Mark Zuckerberg about “needing more masculine energy in companies again” on the Joe Rogan Experience, it is now more important than ever to highlight female voices in our workplaces. In fact, it’s absurd to posit something so simple as “success” (which is subjective anyways) as being related to “masculinity.” As a man, I will proudly say that there are women each and every day in my work, my home life, and my social life that support me, and without whom I would not have reached my level of success. I challenge my fellow men to do the same. Prop our women’s voices up the same way we do with “the boys.” Listen with an open mind to how we can improve our company cultures to support female workers better, and give them the same opportunity and respect. Do not feel diminished by being outdone by a woman, go right back to the drawing board and try again in the same way you would compete with a man. Shifting a culture takes generations, but it starts with YOU. With US. Instead of treating others the way you want to be treated, try treating them the way they want to be treated.
