Are you part of a faith community seeking helpful resources this election season? Our friends at Interfaith America and Protect Democracy developed the Faith in Elections Playbook, which provides faith communities with practical, actionable steps to engage in elections and foster unity while ensuring compliance with 501(c)(3) legal standards. And despite their political differences, Republican Governor Spencer Cox and Democratic Governor Wes Moore both strongly support the Faith in Elections Playbook and agree on the essential role religious communities play in safeguarding democracy. The playbook includes information on recruiting poll workers, offering polling sites, combating disinformation, collaborating with election officials, and encouraging meaningful dialogue across political divides to build trust in the election process. Free and fair elections are one subject that can surely unite all of us. As an organization dedicated to bringing Americans together, we support the Building Civic Bridges Act.
About us
Resolutionaries is an organization dedicated to bringing Americans together. Our goal is to shift the current paradigm — from fighting over our problems to working together to solve them. We know that when people engage in conversations to identify common values, we build bridges across the divide and progress toward nourishing a world where everyone thrives. That is why we fully support the Building Civic Bridges Act (BCBA). The bill would establish a new, non-partisan pilot program, led by an Office of Civic Bridgebuilding, within AmeriCorps focused on building relationships across lines of difference. On our website, you will find additional information on the BCBA, the national bipartisan coalition supporting it, and a simple advocacy tool where you can write your Representatives and encourage them to support the bill.

Former Michigan Representatives Andy Levin (D-MI) and Peter Meijer (R-MI) explored the bipartisan challenge of restoring faith in our democratic system with Amb (ret) Susan D. Page, Michigan Law and Ford School professor, at an event held in January ’23. • Early into this fabulous discussion, hosted at the University of Michigan as a partnership between The Carter Center and the Gerald R. Ford Foundation, Rep. Andy Levin spoke of the importance of bipartisanship. • We know we cannot have a democracy if we don’t work together — and nothing will get done if we don’t have a democracy. • Let your Congressperson know that you support the BCBA through our free letter-writing tool at resolutionaries.org. #DisagreeBetter #BCBA #BuildingCivicBridgesAct

A special shoutout to Mormon Women for Ethical Government and our friends at Momtivist (you can find them on FB/IG) for helping spread the word about the BCBA. Moms across the country understand the need for this crucial legislation. As our own Executive Director and resident mom, Kara, likes to say, "It is our job, as mothers, to create a better world for our children - one in which respect, civility, and kindness are valued." We hope this inspires you to spread the word to your friends, family, and peers. The Building Civic Bridges Act is vital and attainable. Join us in taking action to achieve its passing.
