Shipyard Superintendent Eric Freeman facilitated a safety luncheon for shipyard specialists and technicians, commercial divers and crew at Resolve Marine’s Dutch Harbor warehouse, shipyard and drydock. Topics covered included trending safety issues and building personal resilience to help deal with stress and overcome challenges with our confidence intact. A shout out goes to Ellsworth Rafer, the recipient of the first Dutch Harbor employee of the month award. Rafer is an ABS-certified welder and the longest-serving Dutch Harbor employee with 10 years of service. A proper pizza lunch was served to our hardworking crew. Well done! #DutchHarbor #teamresolve #Maritimesaftety

From the ancient Greeks in the Mediterranean to the salvage firms operating across the U.S., salvage divers are connected to a legacy that spans industries and entire societies. In “Spotlight on Salvage: Meet the Divers,” reporter Patrick Zeitler highlights the need for salvage divers to be experts in demolition, rigging, welding and underwater burning in the latest issue of WorkBoat. Additionally, an understanding of naval architecture allows them to develop an innate sixth sense of the effects of fluid dynamics, both inside and outside of the vessel. Sean Mai, a commercial diver since 2008 and freelance salvage diver for Resolve Marine is interviewed and states that every day brings something new. “What’s unique about salvage is that it's way more unstructured (than typical marine construction or the offshore oil and gas),” Mai said. “We’re often called at the worst time under the worst conditions and the salvage team is expected to work through the issues to make the salvage happen.” Click https://ow.ly/mIoV50U7eCS for more on Sean and other salvage divers and learn how their talent and innovation is driving the salvage industry forward.

@ResolveMarine’s Client Services Manager Christine Curran, MBA and Tender Manager Matthew Bierwagen recently attended the Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club monthly luncheon. Guests enjoyed Matt’s presentation on Resolve Marine’s capabilities highlighting a few case studies, the history of our subsea fuel removal work and the controlled demolition techniques used to refloat the MV Dali. Thank you to Mariners Club Skipper Evan (Eftihios) Adronis (seen here with Matt) for the opportunity. The Fort Lauderdale Mariners Cub was founded in 1989 with the following objectives: to promote friendly associations among its members, to encourage high standards of business practice throughout the community, and to provide a forum to improve the marine industry here in South Florida.
