Dolores A. is our Student of the Month for #ESL! Congratulations! 🎇 Program Instructor Myra Lopez shared Dolores's eagerness to embrace feedback and adapt to different learning strategies, which has made her a role model in the classroom. During her time with Restore, Dolores has made steady progress in both written and spoken English, moving from basic conversational skills to engaging in more complex, academic tasks. Dolores is always excited to collaborate with her peers and contribute to group activities. In fact, in her role as a teacher’s aide, Dolores has displayed “remarkable leadership and responsibility..." 👩🏫 📈 Dolores has stepped up and assisted in the classroom as a substitute teacher, demonstrating her strong organizational skills, confidence, and deep understanding of the material. Cheers to a brand new year of student accomplishments! 🤗 🎉 Our very first Student of the Month for 2025 is Claudia C. for #GED! Claudia managed to attend online classes through Restore, while juggling a full-time job working 6 days a week, plus responsibilities to a family who depends on her. “Respectful, unwavering and consistent,” are words that Program Instructor Jose Diaz uses to describe Claudia’s work ethic and personal qualities. In the face of multiple setbacks in completing the final portion of her GED exam, she kept a great attitude and never gave up. Finally, she passed, and we couldn’t be more proud of her success! 👏 💙 Claudia plans to continue her education through our ESL program, realizing that help is always out there, so long as you are willing to take the first step.
