📣 Big news! We are excited to announce that RestoringVision has been awarded a $4 million grant from Founders Pledge to restore sight to 2.5 million people with presbyopia in India and Nigeria. 🌍 A Visionary in Action! 👓✨ We’re thrilled to share a powerful story of impact from one of our inspiring young partners, Silis Faruku! 👓✨ This summer, Silis traveled to Albania as part of his project, the Silis Faruku Albanian Vision Initiative, bringing the gift of clear vision to communities in need. What began as a school project has blossomed into an impactful mission, showing the incredible difference young leaders can make. Silis is now applying to grants to continue expanding his vision initiative, as well as applying to colleges. 🌍 On this #InternationalDayfortheEradicationofPoverty, we celebrate the inspiring story of Marta from Guatemala, a skilled seamstress who faced challenges in supporting her family due to poor vision. Without access to proper eyeglasses, Marta struggled to work alongside her husband and contribute to their household income. With the eyeglasses she recieved from RestoringVision, Marta regained her ability to see clearly and returned to her craft. Now, she works as a seamstress alongside her husband, doubling their earning potential and helping to lift her family out of poverty. ✨ At RestoringVision, we are proud to align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 – No Poverty.
